Gaia Program only works on phone…

So I thought with apple CarPlay, whatever was on my Iphone would mirror on the truck‘s screen; but Gaia only works on my Iphone. Am I doing something wrong? I just got it so not used to using it.

Also I notice that as I’m traveling, the icon that shows my location doesn’t stay in the center of the screen on the phone. If I don’t constantly scroll the screen to keep it centered it will eventually drop off the screen of my phone. That’s kind of a shitty feature if you ask me? Maybe I just don’t have it set right?

If that’s just the way the program is set up, I’m not impressed.

Can't speak to apple, but apparently there are some android apps that aren't "compatible" with this system.
I got an error a few weeks ago, can't recall which app, but it popped up on the screen with a message "xxx not compatible with android auto" - is there similar with iPhone??

I have no idea. All I know is it’s not popping up on the screen.

Do you have projection device mirroring mode turned on in the Uconnect setting? Are you seeing CarPlay anything when your phone is connected?

I haven’t had any issues with it staying centered on the phone or CarPlay. If you’re manually panning, There should be a “stop panning” button in the upper righthand corner of the screen.

Oh yea for sure man. Just wanted to show that it does broadcast to the screen. I thought it did the same in AA and A. Carplay

If you’re getting CarPlay for other things, it’s on. If you go into your phones settings General > CarPlay > select your car > Customize, do you see Gaia in the list of available CarPlay apps?

The only thing I can think of for the location Nixon is to toggle through the various modes of the chevron on the right hand side. That’s a strange one.

if all else fails, reboot the phone.
