Starting yesterday, my garage door opener (the integrated one on the visor) is now randomly activating. Remote started the truck yesterday morning and the door opened halfway, stopped, closed, then reopened. Did that a couple times. Then when I got home it started up as I drove down my driveway. I monitored it with my flipper zero and it's just randomly activating for varying amounts of time. It kept going after the truck was off as I walked to the house and finally shuts off when the headlights go off after it's locked. I would think the system was contained in that little module and would have nothing to do with anything else in the truck, but the button is not stuck and activates normally when I press it. I will try moving it to button 2 and see what happens. Is this the beginning of the war with Skynet?

It's definitely connected to power, because if I forget to close the door before I turn off the ignition, the door opener will NOT work until I restart.

I fully believe it is connected to power, because it works. I mean to say that I doubt it being connected to anything further than that, like the ECU/BCU. I would expect the radio to be contained within the visor. I'm hoping anyway.

i installed one, mine is connected just to power but it does have three wires. if i remember right it should be ground, power and BCM (i could be wrong here it might be just two power and a ground, one for the mirror one for the remote). i just went with ground and power from the back of the 12v outlet in the dash. works fine and as spanishmack mentioned above it doesn't work after you cut the jeep off.

not a hard replacement, even easier if it's a factory option.
