Yeah but I'm not taking a chance on it not being clean and getting shit in my diesel tank that causes problems. Plus I need at least I think I need to have diesel specific ones.

Understood. FWIW, they are lined. I use two of these for diesel. Nothing yet has shown up in the filter I've put in the funnel.

I searched for good used ones and couldnt find any like you show. all the ones I found were the screw top. I just got the new spout in last night. going to try it today. As for ordering direct. Since I have been searching that site has shown out of stock.

BTW new spout works perfect on the can so it was defiantly the issue.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on two 20L diesel Wavian cans this morning. Pricey but worth it.

If anyone buys used Wavian fuel cans order a set of replacement gaskets. Then you'll probably not need them but have. I've used the crappy steel "USA" 5gal gas cans they rust at the bottom seam. Plastic Septer 5gal and "gerry" cans I've got 2 Septer and 4 Gerry cans "now Nato" the two that are normally on back of my LJ was hauled around full of gas all the time for years. I had to do a mod to haul Gerry cans on my XJ but after having the US style rust I can't recommend them. There is a reason why US and Canada use plastic Septer fuel cans, as stated the Septer one swell in heat, and both will spray gas on opening. I've read that the HF fuel cans are Wavian but screw tops and good to go. I've been thinking about picking up a few but I've got 6 or so 5 gallon cans already and a knockoff 2.5 one I use for 4 wheeler.

I mentioned this back on page 1. But I recently talked to my dad about these and again he said how happy he was with them when it came to fueling his race car.

They pour very nicely and are very high quality and thick. No leaks if tipped and no leaking of vapors.
