Here is the link for the bed mount. Looks pretty good. But I have a hard time permanently dedicating bed space. I use the truck for so many things that I can't just bolt all the goodies in the bed.
I have used all manner of different gas containers over the years both in Alaska and the desert southwest. Yes, they will expand and contract with the heat.
For use hauling in or on the truck the best I have found are the nato wavian 5 gal cans. The plastic scepter are great on the homestead for daily use fueling tractors, chainsaws, log splitters, and so on.

The mounts are made by MORryder and OK4WD can get them, ask for Stephanie (she got them for me)...
Wavian... without compromise.

I'll carry gasoline in a Mason jar before I use a roto(tam)pax.

I gotcha there, without venting and the right nozzles, rotopax cans are worthless... As I mentioned, I was looking for the nearest ditch to throw them into.

But with these nozzles and vents they are great...

Gas in a mason jar is moonshine. It keeps everything running. Never heard the rotopax called roto(tam)pax! Classic!!!

It came to me in a very vivid moment, as I was just tapping out my thoughts about them. It could also just be called Rotampax?

Rotopax makes a vented regular nozzle, they work great.

I have one, unfortunately you have to be very carefull to get it centered on the can opening, it is smaller than the nozzles designed for the can and tends to leak around the base, but the venting feature does indeed work well.

This one was designed for water cans.

Rototampax implies it absorbs and doesn't leak. Maybe Rotodrip or Rotopiss would be more appropriate for some. I had a bad experience buying a Rotopax water container off eBay and it leaked. I contacted Rotopax and they said 10yr warranty, where do we send the replacement? I cost about $9 out of my pocket for shipping but I'm good with that.

I think Rotopax is expensive for the container size and all the hardware needed for attaching to your vehicle, but there is a certain cool factor and it costs $$ to run in the cool crowd.

I like rotodrip ?... In stock configuration the nozzles leak like a sieve. The Ai13 nozzles are rock solid and do not leak, but damn they are expensive. $25 for the pax nozzle, $10 for the spout adapter, and $5 for the cap. So $40 for the nozzles/can and the vents come out to about $4/can. So it takes another $44 to make the rotodrip do what it should have done from the factory.

Plus to reiterate, their customer service is HORRIBLE!!!

But... ...By and far the cleanest install on my jeep ?

Since the locking handle routinely fails, search youtube for the wonderful videos of guys trying to access their gas in the boonies. This is how I modified my deluxe handle. It keeps honest folks honest and will deter some morons. At least it will take a metric hex wrench to get the button head fastener out, and it would be tough with pliers. I drilled and tapped one hole with 6mm x 1.0 threads and use an M6 x 30 button head stainless steel fastener. I drilled both wings (.250 drill) so I wouldn't have to over tighten or loosen the handle.

for the guys who run the Wavian can, who is a reliable source to get an actual real can. I like amazon but always afraid its some china version of the can. Think 2 Wavian cans are the way to go and plan to order 2 of the Front Runner mounts for them in the bed. I'll still have a small 1 gallon plastic can for topping off the generator.

As reference really like the Scepter cans but can't find them anyplace other than ebay. I think by the time I buy the can, a spout and gasket stuff I'll have way more funds in one can than 2 Wavian. Maybe Im wrong but can't seem to find a "package" on those anyplace. Would prefer plastic over steel anyday.

I picked up most of my wavian cans at Sportsmans warehouse in Alaska but Granger on e bay sells the real deal as well. They are kind of spendy but you get what you pay for. They never leak. I used the US Army metal cans for several years and always had fuel dribling out.
