@ShadowsPapa Probably need to be careful or the folks on this forum will think you own a couple thousand acres of prime Iowa corn field :)
Sorry, couldn't help it.....your friend from up Nort.
SHHHHH! I did get a $125 check from the coop I was a member of for years up there.

Now would a pup with such an innocent face be so ornery?

Well, not knowing you at all, I'd say you're a bit salty with a low sense of humor. And this coming from former US Soldier (not BIG Army, mind you), some work with 3 letter agencies and then in the IT/InfoSec game for some time and with less than 4 hours sleep/day for years on end. Yup, you're far more salty that me. Maybe its those cats. I have 2 dogs and 3 cats, but you win that hand..

Not sure where that comes from?! I was joking back with 'im - his pup's face so cute and innocent looking. I saw his humor and countered that I DID get a check from the coop. Maybe you missed the humor back? I saw his joking and countered with joking back about getting money from a farm coop.

I knew someone would say that but I do think Shell gas is better. It may come from the same refinery but I still think it’s better... some people think Fords are better than Chevrolet. Whatever makes you feel good.

I think their additives do make a difference. Maybe they don’t. Change my mind. lol
I feel the same way about Chevron gas. I've used it for almost 30 years and I've never had a problem with it. Shell is my second choice if I can't find a Chevron.

Yeah, but I'd heard the same; newer vehicles are designed to run gas + ethanol blends. I'll have to do some Googling when I have some time...

Edit: I haven't found the article I was thinking of yet, but the JT owner's manual says it is okay to use up to E-15 gas. Yes, you will see lower mpgs but it shouldn't hurt the engine components. Ethanol is bad for older vehicles as their systems are not designed for it, so I think it is a matter of carry-over concern.

Much like people saying "Jeeps are not reliable because my 2007 3.8L JK was a turd" or "the new 3.0 Gen III Ecodiesel is going to be unreliable because my Gen I was in the shop all the time".
I actually run the E15 in my jt and get a little bit better mileage on long trips
