Stop helping people that will not help themselves.

I had a neighbor that thought since he seen me working in my driveway and garage all the time, I was to become his personal roadside service and home mechanic or so he thought. After a couple of times of just trying to be the better guy and help him, it became evident he would not heed any advice about preventative maintenance and drive everything until critical failure and would not stop buying the cheapest Ebay or Amazon white box parts.

Let them pay the stupid tax.
Ya…he’s like that and I have trouble being an ass but i also know what being taken advantage of feels like, so I basically tell him once and he’ll do whatever he does which is typically something else …

ya, i know i know…

So, the tow truck driver (aka Mr fix it man quasi tech) came last night to fix the problem. This, apparently is the new and improved way JEEP is helping and it only took 10 min.

He just plugged in a charger and started the engine. ITS FIXED. It was a joyous time and he sends me a video of it running and said it was easy. I made it sound so hard. Maybe I was just overthinking and analyzing it. I am blessed and cursed by it.

We have a Fiat 500e as well as the 4xe.
12 v battery dies on the Fiat and the car was dead even though the high voltage battery was charged. As someone above mentioned, all the controls run on the 12 v battery regardless of how it is charged.

One would think that with all the modern electronics available that the 12v could be charged alongside the EV battery.

They already do. Hybrids and pure EV's have a DC to DC converter that will trickle charge the 12V battery from the EV high voltage battery. 12V will still give up the ghost eventually in due time just like any regular 12V battery and then brick the hybrid system or EV system
