When the lights are on in my Gladiator, the gauges, dash, & radio are either too bright or dim. Using the adjuster by the headlights gives adjustment from off to about mid brightness, then a click that takes it to full brightness and the next click turns on the dome lights. There's no adjustment between the midpoint and full brightness - which is what I need to see things clearly. I've worked with the dealership. We've adjusted the "lights on" brightness setting in the radio. It doesn't seem to make any difference at all - on 1 or 10, the dash / radio / gauge lighting looks the same. The dealer says it's functioning as designed and there's nothing they can do about it though they can't explain why adjusting the "lights on" brightness has no effect.

Are all gladiators like this?

I noticed the same thing the first time I drove mine in the dark.
Actually what I noticed was the radio screen was too bright.
The gauges seemed fine on full bright.

If I was doing a lot of night driving I'd probably turn the screen off and leave the gauges up all the way.

I have my lights set on Auto. I disabled the option to turn them on with the windshield wipers. I set the dash lights just bright enough to see while driving when it's dark. The brighter they are, the more it impairs your distance vision. There is a definite difference between full bright and barely on. If you cannot see a distinct difference using the adjustment wheel at night, there is likely a problem with it. Getting the service department to see that may be a problem, since they usually don't work at night.

While there is a noticable difference between "full bright and barely on", the issue is the difference between full bright and the next available adjustment below that. My light adjustment is the same as the OP. I figured it was just the way it was and deal with it. If a solution exists, I'm all ears.
