All we know it is a limited run for MY21. No idea how many will be made or if it will carry over to MY22.

Id go ahead and get your order in. I believe the orders will go until the end of September or October sometime. Some people have speculated that the orders would have been cut off in conjunction with 21 orders. Seeing as though they're allowing orders past the cutoff date (which was a few weeks ago), that's not likely the case. With the chip shortages the way they are plus any extras you are wanting, it may be December or early next year before its delivered to the dealer.
I placed my order yesterday with a few extra options, but I'm still not expecting mine till late November at the earliest.

Gotcha, if they offered a Mojave 4xe I'd be at the dealer tonight ordering. I just don't love the V6 enough to JUMP on it.
I had a Glad Sport rental back in July, which was alright (handles better then I thought), but I seen it becoming a slug with 40s, bumpers and other accessories. My current DD is a '10 Tahoe PPV with a built motor and I love the power.
Now my '19 JLU Rubicon, test drove and bought that day. (2.0T)

Stole some photos from the that other Gecko Club since we get no love from the factory. Couple different configurations and lighting conditions:
I wish the JT had the JL Gas Cap/filler. This photo reinforces that I personally wanted the colored flares and black roof.
The blue looks way better with Gecko than I was expecting. Can't wait to see what a Mojave looks like.

I don't know how much is the phone camera and how much is the parking lot lights but damn that's a nice color.
The more I see the JLs the more excited I get. I've already started intentionally trying not to drive like an A-hole since I'll be awfully easy to pick out around town.

If you are in D1 would it stand to reason a few of us (not me I assume) got into D1? They must paint a few of these at a time.

I ordered June 11 but in granite. Than changed color soon as gecko came out 7-15. That put me back tell the first week of October. Other wise I should of took delivery around 7-27

That's what I would guess, but to what extent I'm not sure. I've heard the plant prioritizes rubicons and mojaves. If that's true, they must paint the bodies in batches and put the sports and overlands to the side for a time. Then move the rubicons and mojaves down the line.
There's a short factory tour YouTube video of the JL side by TFL. I remember them discussing a large machine that moves partially assembled bodies from one floor to the next, and how the jeeps come to it is all random. Could be a white 2 door sport then a red 4 door Rubi right behind it. Assuming they have the same type machine on the JT side, it could explain the priority they place on certain models but not so much either way on paint batches.
