General Lifepo4 Battery Question

I'm looking at installing two lithium batteries in my bed to power my camping electronics. Both batteries have a max discharge of 100 amps each. If I hook them in parallel, my mind tells me I now have a max discharge of 200 amps. These will be connected to a 2000 watt inverter, so I'm hoping I'm correct that running them in parallel increases the discharge rate.

Am I correct?

I'll also point out that the max load I'd ever put on that is probably 1600 to maybe 1800 watts even though the inverter is rated for 2000/4000

Yes, and 200 amps is usually the recommended amp draw for 2000 watt inverter. This is what I put in my camper. You probably already know this, but be sure to use 2/0 wire to handle that 200 amps and an appropriate fuse on the positive. A rated kill switch would be goid as well. Enjoy, Its a nice set up.

The 2/0 cable is only for the battery connection correct? I'm not sure if there is a panel that has that big of a connection on it? Also what about from batteries to switch panel?

Also, you need a DC/DC charger. Do NOT connect them directly to the starting battery under the hood.

You will need heavy cables from the batteries to the inverter because at 2000 watts you’re pulling a lot of amps and so you need thick wires to avoid the heat

No inverter for me! Everything is 12 volt. All cooking is propane

One thing you should be aware is that most LifePo4 batteries will not charge under 32 degrees Fahrenheit unless they have a built in heater. Discharging them under 32 degrees is not problem.

I have a lot of experience in building and using lifepo4 batteries so I'm aware of the charging and discharging characteristics related to temps, I just wanted to check myself about the discharge rate of parallel batteries. After mulling it over many many times, I might go back to my Lion Energy Safari ME instead of running my other batteries in parallel. Decisions decisions.
