I make people bigger brighter and louder
Milestar patagonia 37x12.50 17 fits under the bed only when deflated to almost 0 psi
Kinda defeats the purpose of a spare unless you keep an air pump with you.....which I do, because I deflate my patagonia to almost zero to put it in the spare tire spot

If you’re budgeting for 37 inch tires budget for five of them.
If you’re on a budget….. don’t be shopping for 37’s… ???.

edit- in thought, after posting this…. Someone’s probably going to get triggered. But I stand with the comment…. Tires are one of the cheaper aspects of the jeep build. With 37+ comes many more expenses that are often taken with “ah, I don’t need this- or that” GOOD balljoints aren’t cheap, steering components aren’t cheap, re gearing isn’t cheap…. Tires are the “cheaper” end for consumables when going down this road.

another comment to add to this pile- a lot of tire shops outside of metro areas do not carry/stock 37+ tires…. So by not carrying a spare, you could very well be hanging out for a day or two waiting on a tire to get delivered in a remote area….

I've never had a flat with a 35 or 37 inch tire and been running them for over 20 years on various trucks and jeeps. Never ran a full size spare either other than a used 35 on my old JKU. Maybe luck

Like others have said, as long as the smaller spare is on the front in 2wd, driving for shorter distance will be fine. That's what DT told me when I asked about that today. I'm picking up a set of 5 37" Falken Wildpeak AT3s on Saturday and they're installing them in the afternoon. I asked about it just In case it doesn't fit in the stock location.

They get holes…

This was on a dirt road going up to papoose flats (east of independence/big pine California) maybe baling wire, a 9” patch?, or a tube could have gotten us back down to hwy 395??
Just going camping- dirt road, really sharp rock- just right. Swear this areas cursed- camped 3 times all three trips scored a flat. ? (different roads, different parts of the flats… ) photo is of the first trip- which we show horned the spare in the back…. Wife green lighted the poison spyder carrier after having to unpack everything to get to the tire…. ???

It’s cool man- roll the dice. Bubble gum, duck tape, etc can get everyone out of a pinch every now and then. I also bet for MOST trips nothings needed. It’s that one trip that it is….

Jeeping/off roading- part of the fun is going prepared. Whats that saying? Have and not need vs need and not have?
good luck bro. You do you. ??‍♂

Same as what others have said. A 37 will fit without any problems. I've been running with a 37 Nitto Ridge Grappler under the bed for a year now. Drove from the Seattle area to LA twice along with going to Tucsan and Death Valley, and haven't had any problems.
Do you run the 37 on the stock steel wheel?

Nice looking rig and that tire choice seems to be popular.

Were you able to get the spare in without modifying anything, like the track bar?
Sorry about that. Your question about the track bar did remind me. Yes, the track bar I have is from Clayton and has a curve in it to clear the tire. A curved track bar will be inherently weaker. With what I do with the truck it should be fine. If you plan on hardcore off roading then I would opt for a straight bar as it is stronger. I'm not sure if a 37 would fit with a straight bar. You would have to see.

If I go somewhere in the JT that I might get a flat I got a spare in the garage to toss in the bed to take along with me. I rarely do Any technical trails anymore and haven't in the JT. Mainly road driving and fire roads and I'll take my chances on those roads.

Similar question to what Guntrust's question was-
I used a hydraulic jack to raise the rear end of my 'new to me' 2021 Overland with 37's. I turned the passenger rear tire and the driver side turned in the opposite direction. If what I've read is correct, I do not have a limited slip differential. With that said, can I use a 35" as my spare and use it on the front or rear if needed to putt home? I'm reading that it may need to go on the front even if I have a flat on the rear. In that scenario, it seems like it would be very difficult to try and change the tires around on the side of the road. For example, remove flat in rear and somehow remove the front tire and put it where the flat was and put the spare on the front.
Just trying to determine if I could actually put the 35" spare on the rear to limp home.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to reply an certainly appreciate your help.

My take is, If you're in a jam...you do what you gotta do. Just remember...that spare is a temporary fix. Treat it as such and make the proper repairs as quickly as possible. Don't wait.
I've seen quite a bit of damage done because someone decided to blow off the repair for extended periods. Nice rig BTW!

People. When buying tires, buy five of them in the same size.
Don’t cheap out on the thing that connects your vehicle to the ground.

If that means you have to wait and save up longer to buy five tires then do so.
