I'm diggin' the color-matched top, and everything is much shinier. Did you ceramic coat all the paint?
Could you fit some panoramic windows in the top, or will the fabric sides be in the way?

By the way, in last concept I photoshopped a JL picture and not my Gladiator. I really like my Crystal Granite when it is clean. I think it shines a lot more because of the metallic paint and multiple clear coats. Only problem is that like black, it is hard to keep clean.

The panoramic windows are nice, but like you said, they use up some roof. I'm trying to get a full size 54" wide bed up top. I would also like flush mount windows, like the JL tops, if possible, and the panoramic add more complexity than I can handle.

Here's the bottom layout of the Gladiator Expedition. The cab back seats fold down and a bench cushion gets placed over the back seats when camping. The fridge sits on top of the 40% rear seat. The toilet pulls out from under the bench at the tailgate.

And here is my top layout. Even with the bed down, you can still stand in the back of the truck.

This thread is making me wish I was a far better welder and spent a lot more time in the body shop instead of turning wrenches.
And I wish I was better at fabrication than at drawings... :)

And best of all, you can still seat 3 or 4 people in the cab, depending on whether you want the fridge in the cab or not.

I'm still thinking about keeping the Freedom Panels in place. The rack below would have to be shortened, but imagine laying down the windshield, and removing the Freedom Panels, while keeping the rack.

Front Runner makes some nice gull wing windows for the the sides of the build, but pricey!

You might want to check out TERN OLVERLAND for windows. They open fully like the Frontrunner windows, but also have built-in rolling bug screens and shades. In addition, they are cheaper. The windows are double panel acrylic so scratch easier than glass, but much more insulation and have a hard coating. Also, DOT and ECE certified, with a greater selection of sizes. I have 4 of these for my camper and am very impressed with them. Tern Overland has the zenith of customer service.

I wonder if the owner of the company that does that is the guy I knew in Germany back in mid to late 90s that looks like his work before "he relocated" due to tax evasion.? Last I knew he moved to eastern Bloc country about 97. The Dutch would probably let him move there just to rub Germany after their taking over them in WW2. ?

Thanks, I love the built in bug screens and shades. They also have a size that would fit the build nicely. I like the glass on the Frontrunner, but at about $1000 each, it's hard to justify.

Makes me wish I still worked as a welder fabricator and had all the access to build this stuff myself. Laser, brake press, shear, welders. Now I'm having to pay someone to do my sheet metal for me. Uggg
