I've read on here somewhere that someone was able to mount a 37" tire in the spare location.

Wakesurf tag I like it! I see the Centurion sticker too. Which model? IM looking for a new one now. Im either going with the Ri217 or the Supreme Z232. Just havent made up my mind yet.

I’ve owned my 2014 SV233 since it was new, it’s amazing! I’ve had 2 Supremes in the past as well, both great boats you’re looking at (just different classes).

I removed and replaced my hard top by myself for the second time yesterday using my Racon hoist. I also marked my tire spots on the garage floor so I know where to line up in the future. Because the hard top is back-heavy, I wanted to get a few straps on the back to hold it level in-place (making it easier to put back on as well).

Once all the 8 screws are out and I’m lined up, I simply run the straps under the hardtop and cinch them down to the rack after lowering it about 2” above the top (pool noodles help protect roof from getting scratched). Then I’ll raise the hoist about 4” just enough to run the two straps under the back of the top and hook the rubber-coated S-hooks into 2 of the mounting holes.

I made sure these 2 straps have very little weight or tension on them and do not appear to be adding any unnecessary stress to the mounting holes. It’s pretty fun getting everything lined up and just lowering the top back on...as one person, the top is light enough where you can pick up each side and pull the loose straps out.

*I plan on purchasing some strap protectors to replace the strips of towels I ran under them temporarily to keep the paint from getting marked up but other than that it works great and enables me to do this solo in under 10 minutes!

**somehow I’ve managed to accumulate over 20 tarps, all varying in sizes, colors and conditions over the past 13 years as a homeowner...the Racon hoist is a great place to store them

@Sperron - you can see I have that exact pulley system suspending my bike but definitely wouldn’t trust it for the hard top!

The lift is cool and all but that's a good looking Frenchie too.

Hello - I'm a new member but have been following since November.
I have been searching for and waiting for a hoist to become available for the Gladiator Hardtop. I got tired of waiting and repurposed my 4 point Harken hoist used or my 2012 Wrangler. It was quite simple actually..I thought I would share.
1. moved the front drop points to be in line with the front-center of the hardtop
2. moved the rear drop points to even with the rear of the hardtop
3. removed the rear latches that were provided and attached some multi-purpose garage hooks (4.5") that I found on Amazon.
4. Raised top
5. Checked for stability - top is fairly light but this works like a charm.

I literally just picked mine up from the bed and had the truck near a hill and carried it right off by myself. Pretty light.

Thanks for sharing! I have the HARKEN Hoist as well and was wondering how to repurpose it for the JT. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks to the OP for this. I picked one up today and almost finished installing. The only thing left is my hooks were too small to hold the back of the roof. Picking up larger ones in the AM :)

2of these should work with 1" nylon tubular webbing that will go around the top and secure that to the hooks with a carabiner

These are $8 at harbor freight. The better hooks the OP shows available on amazon I found at my local HD for $6. I am building this tomorrow. I will post pictures when done. These HF hoists are for bicycles but states that they are rated at 50 lbs. Should work fine.

I took the flimsy hooks off and mounted the pulleys direct. I had some c channel aluminum stock and bolted the pulley to it and the hooks to the channel. Have not tried it yet. More to follow.
