Which I find interesting as I had riding lawn mowers of that era that had simple differentials, made by Peerless, a division of Tecumseh.
No rear axle. Independent stub axles. Left wheel just holds you up and slows you down with its brake drum.
Was basically a mail order micro car. 100mpg if you don't have the boost on. Mine is a bit modified. Doubt there are many supercharged Kohler single cylinders out there……

Out of curiosity, is the brake a band brake around a drum on that wheel?
Sounds like a fun rig in any case.
Kohler engines are heavy-duty beasts - they were the engines used by John Deere for years on their lawn tractors. They'll run forever.

Well hell! That video was hard to get through! I barely made it past the synchronized motorcycle riding. But on the other hand while making the drive shaft go through the passenger seat and above the floor boards. It was just and inconvenience for the passenger and made it hard to carry luggage.
NOWHERE in there was it mentioned that while driving down the road Mary's long dress going to Sunday church was sucked in by the shaft pulling her down to the floor and wrapping her poor helpless self around the shaft. Poor Bobby tried helping his sister and got wrapped up too. Mom was like honey I think there's something wrong with the kids. Nonsense they're fine. They are just being kids.

Four conventional drum brakes all around. The wheel cylinders are the same as a Willys CJ2a. Engine is in the rear. Smog pump driven by large dual flywheel pulley provides boost. Manual wastegate, carb inside a pressurized plenum. Wastegate operation kicks in an electric fuel pump. Can get 14psi pretty easy. Wakes up the Kohler nicely. Sounds way cool.

So you are suggesting we can ignore that rhythmic "whomp-whomp" sound coming from the back seat area?

On the other hand,

After 3 pages, nothing has changed, the rules remain the same:
There is no drive wheel, no drive tire, and no pulling tire.
Taking that a step further - both axles get the same torque applied.

In the 50’s they thought we’d be living like the Jetsons but in reality here we are arguing with strangers on the internet about which of the 2 powered wheels is the pullin tire..

Do you all believe the most popularly agreed upon garbage that someone argued was correct or do you use brains?

Any modern automatic differential has a bias. It may be small, it may be large, but they all have a bias. Even in almost perfect conditions they do depending which side the pinion is on the ring gear the rotational force is always going to create a force against the bearings in the opposite direction. That force is always going to load one side of the differential even if you have perfect weight distribution which you don't. I have setup probably 500+/- cars to run circle track including everything from Champ cars to 3/4 midgets and all have weight bias. That weight bias causes differential bias because one of the rear wheels has more downward force on it and more traction. Most all of the cars we see run a Detroit Locker in order to save the inside tire a little. Some run a spool where we weight the car on the left side to try to get the car to bite when it transfers over in the turn. Spool cars eat tires. The only open differentials that get run on the track or people who don't know any better...

This is a dumb discussion. Stop beating the guy up.

Obviously, that is not a Jeep owner or they'd have their strap and tow hooks hooked onto that thing.
Or their wench. Oh wait a minute….,,
