Elevate your Gladiator adventure with SmartCap. Whether you’re snow camping up at altitude, driving the dunes by the shore, or hitting the trails to get the heck out of dodge, an EVO Series cap will keep your gear secure, dry, and dust-free.

A limited supply of EVO Sport and EVOa Adventure caps are currently available, but they’re going fast, so if you are interested, we would recommend heading to our site or your local dealer sooner rather than later!

Special thanks to our SmartCap Gladiator Tribe members for these awesome images!

John–

We have begun installing the new Dual Release Latches on all EVO Series caps being produced out of North America and expect to begin installing them on South Africa-produced caps (of which the Gladiator caps are) in Q2.
Once both factories are stocked with enough inventory to support Manufacturing, we plan to begin offering them in sets of 2 and 6 to retrofit SmartCaps that have our original style latches.
We will be notifying our Tribe email list when the new latches are available for purchase, so if you are not already a member, we encourage you to go to this link: https://www.na.rsismartcap.com/join-the-tribe and scroll down a little, then complete the info to join up.

Can you explain the difference in the current latches and the new dual release latches? I know about the potential freezing issue, but dual release sounds different entirley. I am planning on ordering a smart cap for my gladiator soon, but I may wait for the new latches to start shipping.

The dual release latches will allow the Gullwing doors to be opened from inside. If you do end up getting a cap sooner than later, and it has the previous generation latches, we will be offering the new latches as a retrofit.

Just under 300lbs like 298
Actually, with packaging it weighs about 300 lbs. The cap itself for the Gladiator is approximately 215 lbs.

Glad to see latches that can be opened from within! Will it be weeks or months before the latches are available to current owners for retrofit?

It will depend on how quickly we can get enough inventory to be able to offer them. We're working to determine that now. You'll want to ensure that you're signed up for our email list, as that's where we'll announce it first.
