So went chasing the Aurora tonight. Lady A really put on a show. Attempted to get some Jeep porn, but does anyone else have any idea how difficult it is to get an image of a black Jeep at 0300? Way overexposed, but it's there, and as a bonus so's the Big Dipper.

:like:

probably best to do a composite shot. Get the AB shot with the long exposures, then take a "long" exposure of the jeep (same angle) but do a little light painting. Then combine them in a photo editing app of your choosing.

I'm not sure if you can get the AB and do light painting in the same exposure.

Same - I've wanted to see them for years, but just never had things line up right.

Seems odd to me you haven't seen them in Montana. I used to see them several times each winter in Minot.

I'm in a canyon area, with the northern sky blocked - would have to take probably a 45 minute trip to get to a place with a more clear sky view.
