So I am looking at new tires. Was going to go to 35s, but dont really need them. So now I am looking at the 285/17/17s. Was wondering if anyone has experience with the Gladiator X Comp ATs. Have tons of reviews that are good. I realize it may be a budget tire, but may be hard to pass them up for the price. I do some off roading, but nothing extreme. Just wondering what people think of them. They are a load E so may be heavier than what I need, but that is fine with me.

Also looking at the Milestars in 275/80/17 X/T, but have been reading that they have had some recent issues and people are not liking them as much as they used to.

I've been selling tires daily for the last 5 years. Not a fan of the off brands. If you can still get the BFG KO2 they are great, and lighter weight than the KO3 by about 5lbs per tire, and are a Load Range C which will ride much better than an E (assuming same tire pressures).

Falken Wildpeaks are also nice, a lot of the new Gladiators come with those in a 33" effective size, you might be able to find some take-offs...

Also Nitto Trail Grapplers...

I have Falken take offs from a Rubicon now. Not a fan of them at all. Glad they are worn down and I am ready to get rid of them. I am usually not a fan of off brand tires either, but I put a set of $90 a piece Dexteros on my wife's Toyota Sequoia and for 30K miles they have been perfect. No issues from day 1 and they have worn really well. That kind of started changing my mind on off brand tires. I dont drive very much at all anymore working from home and usually only running into the towns either north or south from me. Both only 5 - 8 miles away. I do however drive to the beach maybe 4 times a year and some off roading every couple months to get away for a day. I am still looking, but just hate spending an arm and a leg for tires that may possibly dry rot before getting the full mileage out of them.

Thanks for the response also. Always appreciate any feedback!
