I have a 2025 Sport S with the max tow which gives 4.10 gears, and I just put on Falken Wildpeak AT4W tires which are 35x11.50x 18 load range C and I feel the difference. Good luck in your decision.

What offset are you running with the 255/85
The 255s are on stock Mojave wheels, so 37mm offset. I do run them with 1.5” wheel spacers. The “poke” is nearly identical as the 0 offset Method wheels and 10.5” Kenda tires without said wheel spacers.

I have the itch to go to 35s. However my main concern is drivability. Majority of driving is work commute. A small amount of towing a 1800lb boat. Small amount of overlanding. I have 2025 Gladiator nighthawk with 3.73 gears, 8 speed auto, and dana 44 wide axles. The safe bet is going 285/75 but I love the stance of the 35s. I will be adding a 1.5" teraflex level.
I have big ko2 315/70-17 live in south jersey( mostly flat) men's still around 20 @ 65 but rarely see 8th gear in a 2022 overland 3:73 gasser. FYI

My 21 Mojave came with 33" Falkens. At 60k I replaced them with 35" Falkens and did the 2" AEV spacer lift. With the Mojave wheels I didnt need spacers, but I added the Mopar flare extensions and Rokblokz mud flaps. I live in Colorado and I basically lost 8th gear on the highway. I have since regeared from stock 4.10s to 4.88s and I have 8th gear back, picked up 1 mpg around town and 2 mpg on the highway.

Not all 35s are/have to be 12.5” wide.

The Mickeys are by far my all time favorite tires. I absolutely love thems. Heck, I would push down my grandma for the last set on a shelf. Hah! I am wanting to sell the above mentioned/pictured Kendas for a second set of Mickeys.

Video clip driving the Mickeys and holding a phone.

What kind of running boards/rails are you using?

Get the tire you want. You will never be happy with it if you don't.

35x12.5x17 Toyo’s on 3.73 gasser.

No issues or complaints. 18.5mpg city, ~20mpg highway (Wisconsin).

I learned the hard way. Initially I went with the Nitto Trail Grapplers 35x11.50 because I wanted to keep the factory Rubicon wheels. After a year or so I realized I wanted a wider stance so I purchased the Nitto Ridge Grapplers 35x12.50 and put them on Black Rhino Abrams wheels in OD Green. Since it’s a Rubicon with 4:10 gears, I did not have to re gear on 35’s. However, I did upgrade the front suspension (upper control arms, tie rod, steering stabilizer…) to compensate for the larger tires because I was getting a bit of wobble on uneven surfaces. This started when I installed the 35x11.50’s. Get what you want now if you can afford it so you don’t have to pay twice later like I did. Just remember it will get expensive very quickly when you start making modifications.

Then you should pick your parking spots more carefully. I have the stock 33" Falkens that came on my Rubicon and park next to Subarus to boost my sense of self worth.

I park next to a Wrangler at work. He's got nearly every mod you can imagine and no fenders, but my 33's are taller than whatever he has.
