Driving 200 miles this morning to trade in 2021 Rubicon for Colorado ZR2. Got about as a good a deal as possible they gave to 40K for my JTR, and sticker is 70K they didn't discount much like $500 Anyway you all be safe and maybe I'll see ya some trails. Later God Bless and Merry Christmas.
The Colorado ZR2 is no slouch of a truck, I test drove one when looking for the Gladiator and the ride was way better. Of all the trucks in the class, I think the Colorado has the best suspension setup.

Enjoy the new truck!

I know I'm gonna start a ****storm here, but why all the complaints about JT ride quality? Go ride in a CJ, a YJ, or even a TJ. Hell, if you want a wonderful ride, get a Cadillac, already. This is arguably, the most capable offroad truck on the planet. Do you expect it to ride on the highway like a freakin' Lincoln? What a bunch of panzies (I cleaned it up). If you want to go where very little else will, get a Jeep. If you want a cushy, quiet ride, get (fill in the blank). I've been told a Prius rides pretty nice! OK, rant over.

Well said. And besides adding the AEV Dualsport that comes with the geometry correction brackets I hear do wonders as far as ride quality to the JT. What I'm going with eventually.
But I agree. It's a Jeep besides I personally don't have a problem with how it rides. Some ppl just complain about anything

Not a fan of a zr2 but for overland pavement princess probably ok. My buddy had one and nothing but electrical issues...standard for chevy. He switched to a jk and has been happier. All vehicles have their ups and downs not one vehicle fits everyone. Good luck hope you enjoy it.

You're absolutely right. I'm not trying to crap on the JT (after all, I ended up buying one). I was just saying I can see the areas where the JT is better than the Colorado - but there are some things the Colorado does better than the JT. It's okay to acknowledge the strengths of the Colorado; doing so doesn't diminish the strengths of the JT.

I wasn't trying to start an argument by wishing JTDean well. One of my first posts here was explaining why I picked the JT over other trucks in the class, I called out how well the chassis was setup on the Colorado back then.

I like how the JT rides, it does very well for what it is. The Colorado is objectively smoother, better over bumps, and more planted at speed. None of those things are what the JT was trying to be (except maybe you Mojave guys).

It seems like acknowledging the strengths of other trucks has ruffled some feathers, but we should. Jeep was pretty stagnant with the Wrangler for years because there wasn't much for competition (maybe the 4Runner if you squint really hard). Now Ford has the Bronco, the first real competitor to the Wrangler in decades, suddenly we are getting hybrids, new motors, a V8, and 35" tires from the factory. Can we please stop with this tribal BS and embrace other trucks and what they do well? Competition is good for everyone.

JTDean, I hope your new ride brings you happiness. It's a very tempting truck, I know I almost pulled the trigger on one before picking the JT, so I can understand the appeal.

Congrats on your decision for the ZR2. They look nice and I hope it fits your needs. I thought about a ZR2 Bison before deciding on the Gladiator. Be good and raise a glass and toast your new vehicle.

I'm not dumping on JTDean for trading for a Chevy. To each his own. And I'm not dumping on you, Sweetums. I've just read, over and over on this forum, how the Gladiator ride is terrible. I'm just saying if you don't like the way it rides and handles, then don't buy it. But don't buy one and then complain how bad it rides.

Yeah, wouldn't it be great if you could test drive a Gladiator before you were forced to buy it?

Ummm why?
It's okay to be happy for someone.

What's wrong with some people? Owning a vehicle isn't joining a cult, it's like the Jehovas Witnesses when someone gets disfelowshipped when someone sells their truck.
