I knew their reputation for springs and shocks. Never heard much good about their suspension links.
Agreed. I wish I knew earlier. I have springs and shocks from them that are working great. But due to customer service issues, I’m permanently done buying their products.

I did find that. thank you
I had never heard of the "Liberty Sales Effect" either so I looked it up. Just a joke at the end and nothing more!

I just installed some Fox 2.0 shocks and everything is good on my end but I am not shock expert, etc. Just for the most part a daily driver for me and was a big improvement over the Rubicon Take off shocks I had on

Interesting ... I noticed no difference between the stock Rubi's and the 2.0's. I swapped the 2.0's to my wife's JL (rears only, fronts are JL specific) and while they improved the down road compliance the JL lost some stability. A Helwig sway bar brought some stability back into the package and now it rides nicely.

Big noticeable difference in mine ride is much firmer. It tosses around a bit more than before but when I hit potholes, etc I notice a big difference. Not sure if I will stay with these for the long haul but for now they are an improvement. Wanted some Bilsteens but they were hard to come by.

The Fox are a mono tube design which is a better design in general, sound like the foxes you had were either valved light or the oil or piston bands started to wear. The good news is those fox can be rebuilt and re valved.

Go talk to a local auto or motorcycle suspension shop to see if they can rebuild them for you or recommend a place. Most larger towns will have some guy who does dirt bike suspension rebuilds out of his garage for locals.
He's probably talking about the OEM Rubicon Fox shocks, which I don't think can be rebuilt like the typical Fox 2.0 IFP. At least Fox won't do it to these OEMs when I asked (I had them rebuilding another set for me at the time). I've always liked my aftermarket Fox's, but these OEMs for the JTR are horribly tuned from the factory, way too soft and not composed on any conditions with or without weight. I swear they just reused the tuning from the much lighter weight JLR.

Sport Truck USA owns Fox, JKS, and BDS. I’m sure the shocks are great, but run as fast as you can from either BDS or JKS control arms. They’re the same arms with different stickers. Both the fixed and adjustables have major problems with bushings. They abandoned me and refused to stand behind them after two full sets failed. They’re on the floor of my garage collecting dust on the lost money spent on them.

Teraflex is the way. They’ve proven to be a step above the rest, specifically the Alpine IR adjustables.
I wonder when they bought JKS, I've had JKS adjustable control arms & steering on my LJ for 5-6 years with awesome results and still on the original bushings. Hell, it handles better than my stock JTR. Definitely get used heavily with zero issues, love that whole JKS lift. I was considering JKS again since I can get a 15-20% discount via OnX Elite for them and BDS, including the Fox shocks. Although thinking more Falcon over Fox for the shocks.

Yeah. I’ll go with falcon or king at this point.

Heads up, Fox is not owned by Sport Truck USA, they are owned by Fox Factory Holding Corp.

I’m not looking up their corporation filings. For effective purposes affecting customers, Fox, JKS, and BDS are under the same Sport Truck USA umbrella.

Fox and King are nearly identical (for aftermarket). Fox has an additional seal in their shaft bearing housing, and uses a slightly strong steel for their shafts. I've had no issues with my 2.5DSC's, pulled them apart to revalve and was able to get more top end speed in the desert.

Falcon are fine too if you have no need for a bigger shock diameter. For me I need the bigger diameter (and have upgraded now to 3.0 IPBs in the front, and 3.0 3 tube external bypass in the rear).

Trophy Trucks run Fox or Kings and that's it. In some other off road racing classes Bilstein is starting to be seen used, but for the big boys is Fox and King.

I'm very confused, how is Fox, which is its own company part of another umbrella company?

Fox's investor page where it states Fox holding owns Fox...
Good god man. Here you go. After this, can you stop nitpicking and let me get back to my day? I’m not Fox’s corporate attorney. And I don’t care. What I said was accurate, as it affects us as customers.

Technically, Sport Truck USA Inc is a division of Fox Factory Inc. After that Sport Truck has several child companies. This is a screenshot from their website.
