Looking to upgrade tires on my overland and am leaning towards the Goodyear duratrac in a 275/65/18.

There’s a 113 and a 116 load index. Any recommendations on which way to go?

LT275/65R18 with a load index of 113 carries 2535 lbs @max inflation, which is moooooore than enough (multiply load index @ max inflation x 4 in this case)

The same with a load index of 116 carries 2756lbs @ max inflation

So given the same inflation of 35psi, there is no advantage to the higher load index, which is directly proportional to inflation pressure.

Did you end up going with the Goodyear?

I did, the 275/65/18 worked great on my overland. Didn’t do a ton of off-roading, but they were amazing in snow. Nothing bad to say about the duratracs at all.
I’ve since upgraded to a bigger tire and ended up selling off the overland rims with duratrac tires.
