Great Gas Mileage

So I have almost 650 miles on 3.6 engine. Yesterday I took a small trip to Green river Utah. A lot of climbing and here is what I got. I already had Al little over 400 miles around town which was reading 19.2 miles per gallon on average . Trip was around 230 miles and climbing a lot at 70- 75 MPH. The trip brought my average miles per gallon up to 22 for the whole 650 miles that I have on the Jeep. I wish I reset the miles per gallon average thing before the trip. I am no math person but I believe I must have been getting close to 26 miles per gallon or better to bring the average of the first 400 and last 200 up to 22 mpg ?? Colorado and Utah higher elevation helps I’m sure but this Jeep isn’t even broke in yet. (2022 Gladiator Overland )

That is really good! I would be happy with that but I added bigger tires and a lift, both of which do nothing to improve what I get. I’m not really too much worse though. Typically my average is around 18.
Funny thing about mpg average though. In my experience, it will drop a tenth or more in a really short distance when windy, uphill, or stop/start driving, and it then it takes a disproportionately long time to gain back what you lost.

With the lift and 35's I get mixed driving at 16mpg. (down from 19 mixed stock) when we drove out to Moab in June, I was getting a solid 18mpg on the flat-land areas, but Colorado the mileage increased to just over 19mpg.

That's pretty good. My stock Overland (built 6/19) with 20,7xx miles, gets around 20 (+/- 0.2) bopping around and the best seen on the highway (calculated fill to fill) was just over 27 mpg. That trip to northern MI and back averaged around 25 MPG...northern MI with it's 75 mph speed limit knocked that one tank down to 22 MPG...otherwise, all interstate with the cruise set at 70 MPH. I get around 13 (+/- 0.2) MPG, calculated fill to fill, towing my 27', 5,100 lb (with all we want or need in it) travel trailer.

The very first week I had her, I took her to Boston, MA and back (birthday trip and watched the Red Sox destroy the Yankees at Fenway ) I averaged like 23.5 mpg for the whole trip...brand spankin' new.
