I'm starting to think 14 is legit normal for a Mojave
I get almost1 17.5 here in Central Texas. I have to work to get this number. I found that easy on the throttle and letting it slow down mostly on its own helps this number but what I find really works is 60 mph. Anything higher and this beast goes to 15 all day everyday. Add in some wind and yeah it goes to crap in a hurry. Tow with it, expect 11-13 which is pretty awesome I think. So yeah I did a lot of research-understanding and come to realize a Mojave has the best ride but a Willys gets really great fuel economy. I choose the looks and ride over fuel economy!

My Mojave on 35s averages 13 mpg if I drive nicely. Ranges from 11 - 14 for the most part. I accidentally just reset my Trip A (WAS SOOOOOO MAD) and it had my total driving time, MPG average, etc... I've got 5k miles on my Jeep and it was at 13 mpg. Mix of freeway and city, but I'm in Orange County, and there's always traffic.

Using 91 now, last two tanks, I think I've gained .5 mpg average it seems like...

I DO have a winch out front, Decked drawers with gear in the bed, so that doesn't help at all...

When mine was stock I got about 14. then 35s and 14mpg. Then 37s and more 14s. I am getting 4.88s installed so I can get close to 20 as many others claim,,,LOL.
These things are big heavy bricks. Every mod we do is a MPG killer.

18.5 is what I get in CT but this is 6spd. I added a bed cover and averaged 19.5 at 75-80 Colorado to Texas recently. The bed cover did not make much mpg difference at 8k altitude but I definitely noticed the improvement at lower altitude. Ill mention at 8k feet I routinely get 22mpg at 65. Thin air makes a difference.

You also have lower octane gas in CO than Texas too. 85/87/91| in CO compared to 87/89/91 or 93 in most other states.

Back when the truck was new and somebody wanted to see how good the mpg's could be if driving like a 95yr old hahaha.... sorry....!! I can get great MPG's or terrible MPG's, it is based on the way I drive from day to day.

I’ve tried 87,91 & 93 here in the Houston area, all before taking trips and never really noticed a difference in the MPG between the lower octane and the higher. I Average about 15-16 driving in the weekend and around 17, for highway trips. Stock Height Mojave on 35 KO2’s, with front bumper and winch and bed cover. Houston area is around the 30-40 foot above sea level so I’ve never had it in any thin air area’s. Hope to change that this coming year though. We just drive a truck that has the shape of an 18 wheeler and get about the same MPG ?. That’s why I drive a Hyundai Accent to work. It’s rougher ride and looks like an egg, but gets 42 MPG. The day I retire, it will either be sold or burned. I hate that car. Lol
