Greetings and Happy New Year to all!

Hopefully my 392 will arrive in the next month or so and I'm currently collecting parts.

Two items I would like to add are a grill guard and some driving combination lighting. I will be retaining the OEM front bumper and will not be using this vehicle for hard-core off-road – mostly local street driving. Of course, I'm aware that use of additional lighting on the road is strictly limited/prohibited.

Based on what I found so far, I'm considering adding 2 Baja LP6 LED lights to the front bumper. Ideally, I would like to mount the lights underneath the grill guard so there must be appropriate clearance and I would like to retain the use of the front tow hooks. For example, I noted that the Warn grill bar appears to allow clearance of the LP6s (just barely) (Although I'm not sure the pictures were using an OEM front bumper), but impaired the use of the tow hooks. If possible, I would like to avoid having to mount the lights on brackets above grill are, but will do so as a last resort.

Thank you for your thoughts!

PS: I realize now that this is a gladiator forum, but am hoping that you have some ideas.

Will your 392 have the metal front bumper? If so you can get the Mopar bumper hoop which has tabs you can mount two lights on, if you have the factory aux switches wiring is very easy as well.

Thank you for the prompt reply. Yes I believe the OEM 392 bumper is metal, however I want to try to avoid mounting the LP6 lights on brackets on and above the Mopar or other grill guard since such an arrangement would further obstruct the OEM trail camera. I'm hoping to mount the LP6 lights directly on the bumper underneath the hoop of the grill guard.

Something like this will allow you to retain the use of the hooks, even with the warn bar. In fact, I strongly endorse a "closed-loop" system anyway. Much safer and stronger. Factor 55 has great resources on the benefits.

I have the MOPAR hoop that @Mac mentioned above (in my profile pic). The one I have, unless MOPAR came out with another version, does not have any light bar tabs. You have to buy them separately. I had this on my JL and moved it to the JT minus the lights I used to have. Bumper is 100% the same between the models (2018 JL and a 2022 JT)

I can say that without the lights, the bar does not obstruct the front-view cam except the approach angle VERY close to the bumper. If you're using it for spotting on the trail you'd be fine. Since you said you'd be using it for light offroad and street driving, you might be 100% ok.

I can post an in-cabin view of the camera if you're interested.

I think some ppl have used bolt holes in the bumper to mount similiar lights. Also someone makes no drill brackets that frame mount hide the oem bumper. sorry I dont remember the brand but I just read this in the past 2 weeks here

I went with a hoop that bolts to the factory mopar. I used a step bit to punch out two of the bolt holes. Quite happy with my set up of winch, lights, hoop, and hooks.
