All I could find is the Rubicon is 42 lbs., can't find anyone listing the Mojave weight.

Mojave is super heavy. I have no idea how much but it’s a lot. Rubitrux May be able to tell you since they have some. Or Bennie at allmopar.

Wife has a JL, when putting Redline tuning struts on the Mojave hood I was one of the first getting a Mojave, talked to them about it and they sent me out a set they said should be good, if not we’ll send you stiffer ones! They were much harder to install when it came to compressing them, one won’t hold the hood up, needs two and I have to start the lift until they take over, my wife’s JL gas standard struts very easy to compress and having one on move the hood latch and it goes up two it goes up very nicely. Mojave hood is heavy, it’s also taller meaning more metal. Perhaps Benny from Allmopar parts .com could tell you shipping weight for each, should be close.
My concern is I’m planning on putting the Hydro Glide hood scoop ductwork from a 392 hood in to make my scoop functional and wonder if new struts will be needed….Jack

As a Mojave owner… I’d steer clear of that. It’s heavy and everything from the fenders up is “special” and doesn’t fit stuff. And it’s just all that less you can see when creating a hill

Very nice! Any pictures of the underside of the hood?
I got one... wish I would have taken one BEFORE putting in the insulator. Also, the insulator came with it. I broke the prop rod clip when I swapped it over, only thing that broke/didn't fit in the whole swap. I got a pack of 12 news though! Oh, only other issue I had was it's missing 3 of the christmas trees for installing the insulator, but I have some at home I'll throw in there. I just bought a heavy duty lift system for it so when I install that, I'll put in the new clip and the trees...

How did the weight of the new hood compare to the original hood. Not that you weighed it but did you notice a significant difference?

They say the scoop and vents are functional. I guess you need to cut the insulation yourself to make it work.

It's MUCH heavier. That being said it went from 35 pounds to 60. But you notice it.

The front (Mojave) scoop is fully open and functional. The side (Rubicon) vents are not functional, even if you cut out the insulator. It only has a small drain hole at the back for water.

@VicHammer I am thinking of a RockMonster hood after your post on it (Thank you). Did you end up needing to change out your hood springs to support the hood?
