Not sure where you are, but as you can see from this thread and the other linked above, plenty of people DO have issues in the winter with unheated Wrangler/Gladiator headlights.
Hell, I just came inside from cleaning the current winter weather off my Gladiator so we can go out later. This morning started as snow, quickly turned to freezing rain, and then back to snow a hour or so later. Only have maybe 1-2 inches of snow and no wind, yet the Gladiator's headlight grille opening was packed halfway up the headlight with snow and ice just sitting in my driveway. Ran it a bit to soften the ice on the windows, and the ice on the headlights was also melted and the snow practically fell out. Wish I had my phone with me to take before and after pics. OEM LED headlights don't generate any appreciable amount of heat to melt the ice and snow, which is why there is a whole aftermarket industry producing heated replacements.
Sounds to me like you sometimes have the same sort of weather we have here in Iowa. You described it pretty well.
Not all snows are a problem, but some are......... Those up north likely have fewer problems.

Relatively far north, actually. On the NH/ME border, about 80 miles or so south of Canada.

Not really typical snow for this area, usually it's light and fluffy. One of the reasons there is a ski resort just a few miles away, and probably 15 of them under a hour drive away. But I work in CT, near the coast, and this type of snow is pretty much ALL we get there.

BTW, driving home last night, it was snowing again. All dark unlit rural roads as soon as we got out of town. I demonstrated all the light options to my wife.

The LED lights were by far the worst. I had just cleared them off before leaving, so the light output was awesome, but the "warp speed" effect of the snowflakes quickly made you dizzy.

Highbeam halogens plus halogen fogs was a lot better. No, you couldnt see as far, but at 30mph in the snow you certainly were not even close to overdriving the lights, and the falling snow was nowhere near as obnoxious. Was easily able to see the fox run across the road up ahead, and let off the gas.

Low halogen plus fogs were even better as far as snowglare, but I mostly was not comfortable with less light on rural roads.

White or white/blue is horrible on snow like you saw.
People complain about the halogen but the halogen lights in my SX4 are actually quite good most of the time and even in snow (although I no longer take it in snow as I'm trying to preserve a rare car now) The halogens in my Silverado and my wife's 2018 WKs were very good. I can't say my JT LEDs are any better at all. On high beam, perhaps. I do like the cut-off of the LED a lot, but I still keep getting flashed. I even had the headlight aim checked and checked them myself - they are fine, dealer said they are perfectly aligned and yet I keep getting flashed (which makes things worse as you get blinded by these guys using lights clearly not approved for highway use blasting you at the last second as they think you haven't gone to low beam)
I like LED in many ways and I ordered it this way, but there was zip wrong with the halogen in the Chevy and my wife's 2018 WK2 (she now has a 2021).
Those vehicles were far better in snow for multiple reasons, including the warp speed effect in snow.

I think a lot of people are missing the point here... What did the truck look like after hitting a 200lb hog at 75???

Haha, I was shocked that it didn't really do much damage. I hit it square on with the left front wheel and the Jeep basically jumped it. I hit it square on with the left rear wheel and went swerving all over the road after I hit back down. Other than a realignment and cleaning blood and guts out of the suspension, it was fine!

I bought these a year ago or so for my wife’sJKU. THEY ARE AMAZING! We put them next to a friend’s JL with LED package and these seemed brighter!

We never get brighted by other vehicles either.

Another friend with a JL bought them and loves them.

I just bought them for my gladiator but have yet to install them.

I am thinking about giving the leds a shot again. These seem nice but with the 7" does it come with a rubber gasket to fill the gap?
