They did, but a lot of people don't know Toyota and BMW have a partnership now and co develop a lot of drivetrains. Toyota has really brought BMW out of the muck on reliability. BMW and Mini now rank way higher on reliability since Toyota input. I'm suprised there isn't a B58 swap kit for Jeeps yet since we run a ZF8 trans. Hoping Jeep will fix the hurricane and give it to use 2026 hopefully. The ZF8 is great transmission and is run on such a wide range of platforms. Its crazy to think the M3 parked next me has the same trans just a different variant. and the B58 I think is one of the best modern ICE powerplants on the market rn for its very similar capacity for a broad range of applications. Personally i would have given the Ineos a Jeep shifter since it would have worked and matches the interior and feel of the truck more.Not if you ask the Toyota fanboys. They think Toyata QC'ed the heck out of the Supra engine and basically made the Germans reengineer it.
