Getting ready for a cross country trip and some more camping. I was washing dishes out of a bucket with a spigot on it but this seems to be more civilized. Maybe the wife will happily do the dishes, if she has a proper sink! Also has a drain tube I can run off away from the truck but it's not in the pitcher. Everything folds up inside the box. It gets the water from a 4 gallon tank up on the rack.

I just slide my 7 gallon can to the edge of the tailgate and wash stuff under the falling water like a neanderthal. We don't camp a lot / need the water enough to get fancier though.

Your sink idea is neat.

Leaving Payson AZ to Suffolk VA. I've been in the desert for 30 years and going to spend time around my son's and their families. The wife and I will be camping along the way. I guess When I start coming up with stupid ideas like a handy dandy portable sink, It must be time to leave.

If it only was that simple...

Neat idea- especially using the t-track clamps to hold it in place.

Pretty slick. I still boil a pail on the stove first than add a bucket of stream water if nearby. I try and cycle the water from wash water to dish rinse water to dish wash water to fire put out water to minimize waste.
