I'm adding two sets of the 4-LED Road Shock lights to my Gladiator. Two will be the all spot light version and they will be on the cowling by the windshield. The other two will be the version with the dispersed low beams and spot high beams.
I'm curious what anyone else here with these lights have done, in terms of wiring and switching.
Option 1: Connect them to the Aux switches. 1 and 2 would be for high beams for each pair (cowling pair and bumper pair). Buttons 2 and 3 would be for the low beams for each pair. I would then just connect the back lights to an ignition based power source so they are on anytime the Jeep is running.
Option 2: Use the HF wiring harness and switch for each pair and put the switches just under the lighting controls on the lower dash panel.
Looking at the HF harness and switches, it seems the back lighting might be on when the switch is in the off position, but I can't tell. It looks like the switch has low beam, neutral (off) and high beam. I don't see where it would have a setting for the back lights or all-off modes. But that might clear up if I purchase one and get to inspect it closely.
Thanks!
