Very true. Good call. Cheap way to increase pulling power, if you have enough line.Might need to use pulleys to add multiplication of the pulling strength.

Yes absolutely a great call. I have a block in my arsenal. The winch never laid down but it was grunting pretty good.Very true. Good call. Cheap way to increase pulling power, if you have enough line.
Will definitely keep that in mind if I get in real trouble. I do keep a block in my recovery box.Might need to use pulleys to add multiplication of the pulling strength.
It has been a work in progress for sure. It just started with an idea and I built on it as I went. Made some adjustments along the way but all in all I'm very happy with my rig. I bought a new dd a couple weeks ago. It's a Buick Encore that is averaging 32 mpg. This has made a huge difference in not having the pressure to be SO careful because I had to have my truck for the drive to work Monday morning. Now I can enjoy wheeling even more. Still don't like breaking stuff but if I do, now I just gotta get it home.Your post reminds me once again that "wheeling" is a broad term that encompasses so much. I've got a long way to go to get to where you are perspective wise but I'm heading in that direction for sure.
It is a Rough Country 9500 pro. Great winch and has never failed me. It will be going on my wife's JT to replace the 8000# winch she has.Sounds like a great time.
Which brand winch were you using?
I wanna come down there and wheel with some Alabama gladiator bros. You guys come up here to Windrock in Tennessee and we will throw deeeeown!Hard day of wheeling on Sunday at Stoney Lonesome OHV in Bremen AL. but we had an absolute blast. Broke both back fenders, one tail light, bent the front fender LED bracket down, knocked the tail pipe out of one hanger and broke another one clean off, tweaked the exhaust enough that it loosened the driver side manifold at the head (exhaust leak), bashed in the rock sliders, bent a rear sway bar link like a banana, and found out my winch is way under powered. We had an absolute blast wheeling though. I'm pretty sure fender deletes are coming. I love the rugged ridge max terains but they're not made for hard wheeling. No mechanical failures though so all is good.
Good work.A little late to the thread but here is the rear sway bar end link. It's back straight now.
Headed to Windrock tomorrow for 3 days of wheeling. Goal for the weekend, don't break anything!! LolGood work.
