Hardtop gutter mount crossbars

What is out there for hardtop crossbars for the JT? Preferably aluminum with T slots. I want to build an aero dam to try and improve the flat plate of my RTT. After seeing the amount of bugs that accumulate I think a bit of aerodynamic improvement might gain a little mpg back.

nice crossbar but I need gutter mounts for the hardtop. I can work with the Mopar crossbar setup but would like something that sits closer to the roof.

Yakima and Thule make cross bars and adapters that fit. Not knowing your exact setup but could you extend two bars out from under RTT, then put the angled air dam right at front of tent , might even be possible to fasten the air dam to the front of RTT.
I think your idea has a lot of merit, and should give results from what others have posted about how they feel the drag of the tent….Jack

I do have a pair of vertical T slots under the RTT that could be utilized. I don't want to put any attachment holes in the shell of the RTT. Still in the brainstorming stage of this process.

Well putting small aluminum angles on top of the hinges using the two bottom screws of the hinges, along with the two bottom angles could make for a strong connection, you really only have to go to about the top of the hinges as the top angles back after that, getting lower to roof is probably a big gain as everything underneath is air drag. Probably can get to within 1/2” of roof. Brainstorming is very important and the more thought up front is best, beer can speed the process up also!….Jack

Are you putting a RTT on the top utilizing the gutter mount or does you RTT extend over the top and is attached to a bed rack?

The Alucab RTT is mounted to the Alucab canopy topper on the bed. What I‘m working on now is a streamlined aluminum nosecone deflector to aero things best I can. I would prefer it separate from the RTT hence the inquiry about gutter mount crossbars. I may well end up making my own gutter clamps….

That is a different approach than I am thinking of. Did you see any positive effects with your spoiler?
My RTT sits a bit higher from the roof line than yours. It probably makes more sense for me to utilize the two T slots along the bottom of the RTT. Just have to decide how close to the roof I can be without running into issues with chassis flex.

I had the soft top and after installing the ACCC I had a lot of turbulence that caused a lot of noise inside but once I installed the deflector it eliminated 90% of the noise and turbulence and after installing the hard top the noise and and turbulence is all gone

I bought a cheap set from Amazon (Hooke Off-road) but the connectors to drip rail are plastic. I've got 2 100w solar panels on them. And my topper and R.T.T. are tall too.... so I can relate.
