The flip side of that is that there a also a segment that don’t have that connection or undying loyalty, and that won’t dangle like a worm on a hook at their mercy. Me for instance. The more games they play and higher they price these things, the more risk they run alienating that segment of the population that would buy at a reasonable cost.
Just over a week owned. Bought better tires and a simple lift. Locking rear diff and Toyota crawl system. Add to that Toyota reliability which whether you buy into or not is a thing, and there is definitely competition in the market. Some guys think this thing exists in a vacuum - it doesn’t.
That is what they’re up against. They’d better bring their A game.
