So sad. My first contact with sand in my new 24 Mojave… devastation. I feel so bad for all the residents along the St Pete/Clearwater area. Godspeed.

I feel for those on the west coast. Between the back to back hurricanes and tornadoes it will be years to recover. We’ve been in central FL for 15 years and this storm was the worst we’ve felt.

I was fortunate enough to have minimal damage to my structures from Helene. I was without power for twelve days. We lose one person in our town due to a tree falling on her house. NC had Helene flood damage was worse than can be imagined. One Florida town was devastated from a tornado that Milton stirred up.

Our church sent a group down to help with the cleanup in North Carolina. The devastation is on par with any war zone I've ever seen. Good Lord. All of that is probably the best justification for all the money and time spent for the overlanding/prepping crowd. Except for those bug out locations that got swept down stream of course. SMH 😢

My son came down from Atlanta to help me. I was in good shape, so he took off to NC. He brought supplies and fuel with him to distribute to those who needed it. He stayed only a few days. He said he has never seen anything like it.

Nasty. I know that area well. I lived in a condo on Tierra verde from 02 to 12, then south st Pete near Maximo until 19. That amount of sand is insane.
