Hey guys,

I recently purchased a 2021 JT Overland. It came with several mods, and I noticed this today. I was going over bumps in my garage and it was making all kinds of clunky sounds. I looked, and noticed these two were loose and a bolt missing.

is this the track bar/sway bar? It’s located behind the rear axle.

Those are your sway bar end links. They should be connected to the brackets you show.

Those appear to be aftermarket end links. You're missing hardware on one side on the other side appears to be incorrect for a JT.

thank you sir! It looks like I need that bolt for one side. I took the other ones off so it doesn’t fall while driving. It seems simple to just reconnect it.

what makes you believe the end links are incorrect for it?

Also, is it safe to operate car, taking it easy on turns and hight speeds?

Here's a picture of the factory rear stabilizer bar end links Mopar PN # 68361275AC. Your's are defiantly aftermarket and were not put on correctly. My guess is someone forgot to tighten the top nuts and they eventually fell off.

You can drive without a without a rear stabilizer bar being connected but your handling may be effected.

The fix is straight forward. Take the top bolt off of the drivers side, go to the hardware store, get a matching bolt (galvanized grade 10.9) for the other side and a set the same sized nuts and put them on.

Thanks - I wonder what the purpose of the aftermarket end links would be, perhaps they’re more heavy duty?

here’s a picture of bolt I took from rear Driver side. It does have a small “M” on the head, mopar original?
Do you have recommendations on where I can find a new bolt?

Here's the factory bolt and nut information. The nut is a special lock nut. You can order the same size/style of fasteners cheaper at https://www.boltdepot.com if you use the Bolt Depot nuts put some loctite on them since there're not lock nuts.

Thanks, I may order it on Mopar (especially for the special lock nut) if I can't find it at HomeDepot - rather get it fixed right away.

I used these as I wanted something a little longer than the original. A regular nut works fine just go to ace

If there was a lift installed than it likely came with longer swar bar links. If you are going to do any wheeling I'd recommend looking into rear sway bar reinforced brackets. The factory ones are weak and will eventually split. Metalcloak makes an excellent set and it even comes with the necessary bolt you are looking for. I just put mine on a couple of days ago.

Just go to your local dealer. They may have one in stock.
