Death wobble doesn’t stop until you are close to stopping, and violently shakes the rig… if you don’t come close to having to change your shorts, it not death wobble.

OP, you need to have the tires checked for balance, they are the cause for a wobble most of the time.

Next would be a dry steering check. With engine off, crawl in front, and have a helper shake the steering wheel had back and forth, look at all the joints and see if anything moves that shouldn’t, or moves excessivel.

That is exactly how Death wobble starts. It will get worse over time. Addressing it now is what the OP is doing. Sure balance the wheels. I think that would be repeatable though. A worn shock, perhaps but even that kind of bounce will go away while driving. An oscillation that begins after a bump and doesn't go away until you slow down....

For your ESS issue… How do you start the vehicle? Do you have to press the start button? When you do, do you have to cycle the clutch for it to work? I’m asking because if a faulty sensor was the issue on putting the clutch in, I would think it would need to “cycle the clutch” to get the sensor to read? Mine starts right at the beginning of the clutch throw in so I wouldn’t think it would be any issue about “pressing it enough.”

side note… on one of my Germany trips I was given an astra opel as a rental. That things ESS was stupid (or broken). It would turn on when letting off the break or the clutch pedal out (not pushing in) which caused me to stall in a round about. I quickly found the “off” button for it. My MY23 WRX (trash can quality car) did not have ESS, nor did any of my other manuals prior… Still not a fan of it but glad Jeep’s is less stupid than that astra. Side side note… when I called my boss and told her I was in an astra she immediately started roasting me asking why i didn’t have them upgrade it to BMW or something better….. I had to tell her that there is a certain thrill in getting an Astra up to 230kmh (downhill) that I couldn’t get out of doing 160mph in a BMW. There is a certain thrill to driving a slow car fast… lol.

Take your foot off the brake and it should start right up.
When I come to a stop, I shift into neutral, keeping my foot on the brake pedal. By backing off the pressure on the pedal, the engine should restart.
