I had the dealer install Mopar 2” lift. I noticed today that the shocks on vehicle were still factory shocks. I called service manager at dealership and he told me he would get to the bottom of it. I got a call back from service department and they told me they installed everything from the Mopar suspension lift kit but left the factory shocks on the vehicle because they are better shocks. This doesn’t seem right. What are y’all’s thoughts?

Take it back. Factory shocks are Fox 2.0 and shocks supplied with the mopar 2" lift kit are Fox 3.0. They are scamming you. what did they charge for the kit?

I would be ticked, the shocks that come with the 2" Mopar lift are longer than the stock shocks, giving more travel. I'm getting a Mopar lift installed on my Gladiator as well. The other difference is the rod is thicker on the longer shocks.

Now I’m questioning the rest of the lift kit. I got lift kit for 15% off list price and they charged me $600 to install.

Sounds like you got a spacer lift instead of the Mopar lift.

Can anyone confirm that these are the correct springs with Mopar lift? Starting to get suspicious if they even installed a lift.

oh man. I'd be pissed. I guess we have to go back to the old days of asking for all the old parts back?!?! I would NEVER to there for service again.

I read on another thread, they didn't give the customer the trail badge either.

Take some more pictures of your suspension. Since they lied to you about the shocks, there may be other issues as well.

Thanks for the parts list! That’s a big help. I think they installed everything except the shocks. I thought I could trust the dealer to do it right. Very strange.

Even if they really thought the factory shocks were better, did they keep the ones you bought? This sounds like theft...

Make sure they installed the front spring perches correctly as well. The instructions included with the Mopar lift are incorrect/contradictory and if they installed them on the wrong sides, your sway bar end link will hit the spring. I know this because it happened to me. Also check to see if they gave you the Jeep Performance Parts badge that comes with it because if you buy it separately, it's around $25.
