Help understanding the Alpine pkg wiring...

I've been working through what I want to change as far as the audio. I currently have the 8.4 screen and alpine upgraded stereo. I find the speakers to be a bit lackluster.. Planning to replace all of the OE speakers with aftermarket ones.. What I can't decide is what to do with the included subwoofer. My understanding is the Alpine sub has 4 VC's which seems odd. and it's 9". I think I could physically make a nicer 8" shallow mount sub fit but I don't know how the hell to convert the wiring to a DVC sub from what is there with the factory. My other option is to rip out the OE sub and replace with something else. I don't want anything crazy, just a bit more bass.

Also, does anyone know how much power the Alpine amp sends to the speakers? What Load? from what I've been able to tell is should be 23w @ 2ohms but haven't been able to confirm with enough certainty.

I tried to find this out recently because I want to do the same thing (aside from messing with the sub). It is a nightmare finding stereo info that is reliable. I keep finding different OHM reading quoted from MOPAR sources. I even watched a leaked product launch video that quoted something different. It a hodge podge of info out there. I want to know truly what the continuous RMS is and the ohms....

I once came across a thread on here that had a link that took you to a site that you entered your vin number and it spit out every part on your JT. I wonder for you two, with the upgraded Alpine system, if it would give you the amp information or at least the part number so you could specifically look up the info. I’ll see if I can track that link down.
