Hey. I had this over in the Towing category for awhile but got no love there. So I’m hoping someone here can help. I ordered and installed a Mopar tow hitch for my gladiator rubicon. The rubicon requires theses hex nuts to be installed to connect the bumper to the tow hitch. On the piece I removed to put mthe hitch on, these nuts were secured into the hex shaped holes somehow.
How do I install the new rivnuts (?) onto the new tow hitch? For now I just put the nuts into the holes and tightened the bumper onto it. Did the rivnuts secure themselves to the hitch when I tightened them down or was I supposed to secure those nuts differently?
Thanks for any help

Would this work? I don’t want to but an expensive tool for just two nuts. But I don’t want to break anything either. And thanks!

That works to but at that point just go to the hardware store and get those for like 3$. Just keep the rivnut square on the surface and tighten it down

Where are you located? I have an installer.
Located in Rhode Island, but thanks anyway. I’m just going to order that one from Amazon for now. I’m currently on home confinement with COVID ( yes, I was vaccinated) til Wednesday so I can’t get to the hardware store anyway.
