LOL - my Overland has everything the High Altitude does - except the "luxury" items like color matching bumpers and door handles. I fail to see any real differences.
ACC - got that.
BSM - got that.
Passive entry - yeah, have that.
I've been trying to find out what the HA edition has that my Overland doesn't have other than appearance items.
I've driven my Overland to Fort Wayne and back, Omaha and back, Colorado Springs and back, and plan on going to Florida this fall. My wife loves Grand Cherokees but actually likes driving my truck, too.

Yeah, that's about it! It's really no different in many ways.
All the HA has that I don't have is the body color stuff. Otherwise - compare - if I painted my bumpers and door handles, and put those wheels on it, I'd have a HA for the most part.

It's really just an Overland with a few added things you can't order on the Overland.
Otherwise, name a feature my Overland doesn't have - other than appearance items........
Same damn thing HA vs. Overland other than appearance items -
Body color bumpers, door handles, mirrors,
fancy pattern in the seat leather,
Larger wheels.

Show me something that makes the HA better or more fitting for highway driving than what I have...
So some of that is "standard" on the HA and part of a package on the Overland - otherwise other than looks, I see no differences.

Otherwise my Overland has everything the HA has - including a wonderful ride and handling on the highway. That truck is extremely great for long drives. We (should say my wife) drove from Colorado Springs back to home east of Des Moines - non-strop except for gas and ice cream. 11 hours on the road and neither of us were fatigued.
That's the thing - you get there and aren't worn out.
Did you miss the part where I said "generally speaking"?

Every High Altitude has those options. Not every Overland does.

I saw what you said - but...........
You'd almost have to order an Overland without options to not have them.
Any Overland I've seen sitting on a lot are pretty well optioned because it's sort of a "what's the point" without that stuff.
A stripped down Overland? Hmmm, go Sport S instead. There's no point otherwise.

From the reviews I've seen - they tout a loaded HA as the most expensive version of the JT.
So why not load up an Overland and have the same thing except the appearance items and save money.

Special leather, blind spot assistance, 8.4" screen are a few of the other standard features. There may be more, I'm not positive.

That is not normal. No issue like that with mine.

Bells and whistles are what make highway driving nice.

Mojave over High Altitude for highway driving seems like an odd choice to me. Maybe if the highway is sand dunes.
Look at other posts like this and see what the Mojave drivers are saying. They say it's the best road feel too due to shock tuning, not nearly as 'rough" of a ride. I don't have 1, It's just what I've seen about them since they came out from others on the forum.

I’d like to third the Mojave. It’s very comfortable on the road. Potholes and rough city streets are no factor.
If you can get a little more caster than come from the factory it will help some of the people that are having the wandering problems

Assuming that to be the case, then a person could put much better shocks on my truck and have an even better ride - likely not Mojave level, but still........... mine is excellent on the highway. It's fantastic around town, the only bad spots are rough secondary or local roads and the unkept railroad crossings around here.
Otherwise, to CO and back, the ride was SMOOTH and handling was excellent.
I am looking to put better shocks on.

The HA is great on the highway. The street tires and options that come on it make it very comfortable to drive.

Coming from a JK and JL Rubicon, it didn't even feel like I was driving a Jeep. I swapped out the tires a week later and fixed that problem.

I believe some of the "wandering" issues to be faulty steering gear. I can point to a couple of cases - mine being one of them - where the STEEL housing steering gear actually wandered MORE than the original aluminum housed gear.
My steel steering gear had to be replaced! It wandered like crazy.

If you know how all the dealers option their Overlands, you know more than me.

Why not load up an Overland? Maybe you want the LED lighting on the High Altitude. Maybe you want the color matched stuff.

Do you have Remote-Proximity Keyless-Entry? Not a highway feature, but still a nice feature.

standard option for HA is the wide track axles and upgraded brakes just as the Max Tow package includes. Its a well optioned Rubi without lockers and swaybar dico

HA comes standard with 20 x 8 wheels, I don't know if that's available on the overland. That being said I couldn't tell you if it makes any ride quality difference. Mine rides great on highways but I'm guessing non HA models ride fine too.

The HA is a trim package on top of the Overland. So same off road capabilities.

I just got back from a weekend trip from Tampa Bay to Key West. We had about 500 lbs of load with people, dog and, gear. The ride is so smooth. Nat as fast, but smoother ride then the G8 GT I upgraded from. The smooth ride reminds me of the old Cadillacs. My wife loves the look and sexy interior. I personally have always hated the excessive amount of black plastic that Jeeps have. So I love all the paint matching mirrors, door handles, bumpers. There is very little non- painted plastic.

I have 2001 TJ with 190K miles that I have had during the majority of my military career and is my off road toy.
