I recently purchased my first Jeep- 2021 Gladiator Sport S. I don’t want to put a lift on it and would like to use the Factory wheels, but I want some more aggressive looking bigger tires. How big of tire can I get without doing a lift or having any issues? Please show me some pictures also

The Jeep issued Willys package 32–Inch LT255/75R17C Mud–Terrain Tires on
17–Inch x 7.5–Inch Black Aluminum Wheels looks pretty correct, in my opinion. I could go larger, but I like the way she handles with these. There are some smokin' deals on little used takeoffs in the member marketplace.

I’ll be putting some 255/80/17 Toto AT 3s on mine down the road. No wider than stock, but are 33.1”. I like the aggressive thread of the Toyo. They’ll fit on the stock rims.

I suspect you’ll find that the most common upgrade size, without a lift, is going to be 285/70/17. Same size as Rubicon and should have no issues. 285/75/17 would be a slightly taller option.

I would go with either:
A. 285/75r17s like above.
B. 35x10.50r17 Kenda Klever RT
C. Rubicon take-off 285/70r17
I don’t know of a tire wider than 285mm that’s approved for a 7.5” wide wheel, though plenty of people have run 35 and 37x12.50s on stock wheels.

Oh yea those rims and tires look so good on the snazzberry color. Got a deal lined up on some Willys take offs. Should be picking them up next week.

For stock wheels I think the largest tire you can use without modifications would be a 285s. So a 33-ish tall tire.

Had to get aftermarket wheels to get 35s to fit.

-Goodyear Wrangler DuraTracs 35x12.5x17
-Fuel Off-Road Beast 17x9, +01 Offset, 4.00 Backspacing

No lift
No trimming of wheel wells

Great question since I am about to pick up a gladiator on Thursday and was curious about the same thing. Love the look of your gladiator, do you have any rubbing? Also, how did you determine the right offset and back spacing? Any knowledge your willing to share, would be greatly appreciated

I run 255-80-17E Falken AT3W, fit fine. I have 4.10 gears. I hope you do too, if you want tall tires.

Toyo makes a 35/11.50/17 that’s approved for 7.5 wide wheels. I don’t know if they would fit without a lift though
