How do you guys carry your kayaks?

Going to put my 10 footer sit on top on the roof bars this weekend to bring it back from camp. Wish me luck that I don’t tear my hard top off.

Ran one line through the front and through my windshield tie downs. Drove 2 hours from camp to bring a kayak back. Despite Jeeps warning, roof wasn’t torn off.

Finally got to use my bed extender for transporting my kayak from the marina back to my house. Used a ratchet strap to tie it to the bed tie downs and it worked like a charm.

Mind adding a couple better pics? I've been trying to find a versatile trailer that can haul bikes/kayaks/wood/etc... I'm getting to the point where I might just design something myself, so some added photos might help me with whatever I come up with.

sure, I’ll see if I can find one. It’s all put up for the winter so I’ll have to find some old ones. It’s a harbor freight trailer base.

my buddy has one of those and took it all over the Chesapeake bay with us. It was really nice.

We got the RSI Smartcap and Rhino Rack Backbone installed. The combination allows us to bring our Kayaks with us when camping. The Thule Hullavators make loading and unloading a bit easier.

Mind me asking how the Rhino bar attached to the smartcap?
