How wide is your grille insert?

I bought a double sided grille insert, one side was the wrong image. So the manufacturer sent me a new one. Once I had the second one I went to install and realized that it wasn't as wide as the first and left undesirable space to the side of the grille insert.

I contacted manufacturer and they sent a third, and the third was also too small.

Now manufacturer is saying the first one was too long, other two are correct (but appear short to me).

So...... How many inches wide is your insert, and what brand is it?

Do you have a picture of it not lining up? Keep in mind the grill openings on the gladiator are bigger than the wrangler for better cooling.

This is the gap that 2 of 3 inserts have. One of them has zero gap and fits snugly. @Daizey can you take a photo of each side of your grille from this angle so I can see if you have any gaps? That'll be way easier than measuring it, now that its installed.

Yeah, looks like they are different and you got some JL inserts instead of JT ones.

There are no gaps. I just ordered what they said fit a Gladiator.

yeah who knows, debating if I should tell you all who I bought them from because i'm not exactly happy with the customer service...

It looks like you have that gap because the black/silver trim around the 7 slots isn't installed. I know you have a Sport, which doesn't come with those, so it appears that maybe that company's grille inserts only work with Sahara and Rubicon models.

Also, people keep saying the Gladiator grilles are wider than the Wrangler. Does this mean the 7 slots themselves are wider, or only the honeycomb mesh inside the slots is wider?

oh man, I just noticed that. I'll have to go back and look. I didn't realize the "honey comb" stuff and the surround were seperate pieces!

@Daizey 's looks much better with that black trim. lol This is why I held back on saying what manufacturer screwed up......LOOKS LIKE IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN ME!
