Eric, smart to ask current owners about their experience with the Gladiator. You're obviously driving one right now, and can experience it for yourself, but one of the biggest F150 versus JT downfalls is interior space. Here are some of my answers...

1) As others have said, 33's fit fine without a lift. I have 33's and it did raise the truck a bit and don't plan on lifting soon.

33's no lift

2) Overland should be fine to pull 3500. Max Tow can get you to 7650, but doesn't sound like you need that much.

3) I have the Mopar tri-fold and didn't think I'd like it...but I love it.

4) Just make sure you really evaluate downsizing from an F150 to JT. My best bud has an F150 that I'm in a lot and it seems huge to me. I'd imagine the reverse is true for him when he gets in my Gladiator. Food for thought.

Thanks. I did notice the difference in the interior immediately, but after adjusting the seat and the steering wheel, it's not been an issue. Will be interesting when I get the truck back next week.

Been tooling around today with the overhead panels off. Really like that.

This could be bad... very bad. :)
I enjoyed the freedom panels off, but once I went full naked (full roof & doors off) there was no turning back. I also converted from an F150 Super Crew

Our sons max tow....

Everything is STOCK except the following......

33" Rubicon wheels and tires (Free)
N-Fab steps ($400 Amazon)
Gladiator hood sticker ($20 Amazon)

Ive been told and seen here on line, this is the biggest tire size you can go without a lift on any of the trims except the Rubicon. A Rubicon can take a 35" tire with stock suspension (my other two) but need a lift for 37's.

Hope this helps

If you like the hardtop and prefer to not remove it I suggest you get the Sunrider for the hardtop. It is next best thing to a full soft top and you don't need to remove the hardtop. Super ez to install and it takes 2 seconds to open/close the Sunrider. However, back seat passengers remain under the hardtop if that matters. My dog rides in the back and he prefers the shade. I put 275/65R18 Ridge Grapplers on my Overland and they look bigger than the stock H/T tires but really the Grappler are almost the same diameter and to me they maintain the stock ride feel. Lastly I have the Rugged Ridge trifold hard tonnaeu cover and I love it. It is one of the only tri-folds that allow the 3rd panel to lift up and be held in place vertically with support arms which gives me full bed access and I can drive with the cover in the up postiion if needed for bigger loads.

Cool if I pull this trigger, definitely looking into that.

I also went with the overland for the bells and whistles. The main one being ACC. My commute isn’t anywhere near yours, but on the longer drives I’ve taken, the ACC is amazing. I ended up putting 275/70/18 KO2’s on mine and it’s added around an inch of height. If I weren’t leasing, I’d definitely have added the Mopar lift. Here’s mine with the 33’s on.
Also, there’s a disesel version that they are taking orders on now. Should get ya better gas mileage.

Yep. Like that idea as well, but not going to go that far with the rental, given the afternoon weather here in FLA, and the fact that it is probably going back to the rental company on Wednesday. But if the deal goes down... it's happening.

Those wheels look awesome on your rig! Those look much bigger than 17’s, what size are they?

I have a Sport S without maxtow I have a 22ft Center console about 4200 with 3 batteries and gas. I have no issues towing, my only complaint you will need a aftermarket tow mirror to mount on your mirrors. My boat blocks my rear view.

Thanks, I love 'em. I'm in the crowd who doesn't mind 20s; they're 20 x 10 Fuel Beasts. If I lift it, I'll probably run 35" tires for more meat, but right now my JT is a "coach's truck" and non-lifted with 33" tires fits the bill. :like:

I tend to like bigger wheels myself. I’m sure a bunch of “purists” are rolling their eyes right now. Thanks for letting me know your setup!

Day 8 and counting.

I don't have a garage, so the top and front doors are currently sitting in my screened porch while the Jeep sits in the carport. Not exactly a secure set up - and I only planned to have them off for a day or two - but it might be a while before they go back on at this rate.
