HPR Diesel Fuel

Came across this High Performance Renewable diesel fuel the other day. At 5.99 a gallon, I thought I'd give it a shot considering that across the street Shell was 6.17. So far the Jeep is running fine, need to get some more miles in to see if the mpg or performance has changed. I've read mixed things about using renewable diesel with these engines. Has anyone seen this or run this before?

Should be good. My only question would be low temp gel up. A quick interweb search should answer that.

The manual says you can use b5 to no greater than b20 if you follow the reduced oil change interval.

I change my oil every 5k so that wouldn't be an issue. I recently talked to a guy who eventually traded in his gladiator diesel back to the dealer because one tank of biodiesel ruined his fuel system. Could be a one-off though.

The fuel system tolerances don't like B20+ diesel fuel for extended periods of time. In a pinch, go for it but not as a normal fill up routine.

You'll need to change your fuel filter more often as the B20+ fuel has more debris in it compared to lower bio-content fuel.

He shouldn't have a problem with gelling because he's in southern Cali.
