Hey,

Ive read the 24 gladiator (ruby/Mojave) may have a hybrid option which if it’s like the wrangler it will have more horsepower and more torque. I wonder if the extra amount of torque and horsepower would defeat the need to regear? I’ve read on the 4xe forums that unless you go above 39 inch tires there’s no need. The extra power handles it. What are some thoughts from gladiator owners

Don't believe everything you read on the Internet.

I have 37s on my 4xe wrangler, and only 3.73s as a Sahara. Absolutely does not need a regear as it still handily whoops my gladiator with 5.13s. The 4xe can get from 0-60 and back to 0 before I'm even near 60

I believe I read the regaer cap was raised from 4.5 to 4.88. May be recommended to regaer just to retain 8th gear and not let the motor run as hard, thus increasing longevity. I just hope the tow capacity doesn't significantly drop like on the wrangler. Even with their new rear axle, only 3500 lbs vs 5k lb. I don't mind a hit to 6k lb like diesel if that's the case, tho.

My buddy regeared his 4xe Sahara. Felt really sluggish with 35s. He regeared to 4:10and maybe there’s some programming that limits torque or something? But it was still a turd. He went to a rubicon (gets a free vehicle from government every year because he’s a stock market guy) and it’s not as bad, but I don’t know where they’re hiding the horsetorques. Maybe the transmission?

anyway he is getting rid of that too due to the engine sound and glitches he’s had with his battery just no longer claiming to have a charge like 1 mile down the road.
