Other MANUAL Gladiators out there… RE-Gear?? Thoughts? What did you do and what size tires do you run? Also cost I’m seeing $2400-$2800

I run my rig through high speed desert runs it’s a Mojave, but also rock crawl, tow, and haul a full bed and motorcycles.

On 35s I basically never use 5th gear and 6th cruising downhill on the highway. Would like some more low end torque and use of all the gears. Thoughts? Advice?

looks like an old post but to reply i just regeared my manual trans sport running 315's (34.7") i jumped a little deeper then i probably should have and went 4.88. around town it's great, regained being able to pull hills (bridges i live in Florida). interstate in 6th RPMs are up there, 4.56 might have been a better choice, guess i need bigger tires now.

What speed and RPMs are we talking about?

still breaking in the gears and only a quick trip on the interstate so wasn't really paying attention but i want to say 70 mph was around 2500rpm or so

That's not bad. Still lets you keep the RPMs under 3k for 99% of driving. Thanks. I was considering 5.13 but sounds like 4.88 will be perfect.
