I've not lived in a state that requires inspections that doesn't.
Iowa doesn't require inspections of anything. You can rear-end someone because your brakes totally failed and they'll give you a ticket and let you drive away - and maybe you'll actually pay a fine or something. But no inspection. (that's first-hand knowledge - my brother was rear-ended with his 68 Javelin, crushed the back end in but the driver behind him with no brakes was allowed to drive away)

We used to require inspections but there was so much fraud and cheating - shops selling the stickers for cash, filling out bogus paperwork, never even looking at the vehicle, and the public outcry was crazy, so they got rid of the inspection law. And yes, I know about the fraud and sticker sales, too, because I worked in a shop that did it a couple of times for "friends of the owner".

I'm not sure if Missouri requires inspection of a new vehicle or not. They do require inspection each time you license your vehicle (which can be for either 1 or 2 years -- owner's choice).

It seems that whenever I had a dealership do the inspection, they *ALWAYS* seem to find something that needs to be repaired before the vehicle passes. If I go to an independent repair shop, it is rare that they find anything.

amazing. CA surprisingly doesn’t do this. Missing out on a total bs tax opportunity
I'm with you on that. I'm SHOCKED Cali isn't fleecing people for that.

I've lived in states that don't require inspections and some that do. Some require them if the car is more than a certain number of years old, some WAIVE them for older cars. Some have "safety" inspections, some have emissions inspections, some do both. Some states (like VA) have emission inspection requirements that vary by county.

It's all a BS money grab for the state.

I agree - I'd seen pictures here, other internet spots, dealer info, factory info, and still had to see it in person. It's a much nice color in person. I've not seen ANY photo yet that can truly capture that color correctly.

No longer in Toledo!!! Dealer just called & said my hydro blue sport-s is in St. Louis, awaiting a truck ride home!

Of course, he says he doesn't have a date for that truck ride...

Oh well, progress anyway. Probably have it just in time for Thanksgiving.

You’ve been waiting long enough, hope it goes quick

Are those actually beadlocks, or just made to look like them? I love the color matching (IS it Hydro Blue on the wheels, or just as close as you could get?)

My dealer has a Hydro Blue Rubicon that was ordered on 9/11. I have first dibs on purchasing it when it arrives. I had them look up the status code. It is in BG – order has passes edit but cannot be scheduled regardless of sold status.
