On 10/17 I took my wife to the dealership so she could have final say on color. We went with the hydro blue pearl. I was set on the Sport S with max tow and as loaded as I could get it. I didn't mine the black fenders (although I see they changed the Sport so you could get the fenders body color) or the black top but my wife had a fit and said NO, they have to be body color. Well, dear, the Sport isn't available that way.
Well then get the next one up. But those don't have max tow. Well then buy a lighter trailer.
So I traded trailers - got one 850 pounds lighter, and ended up ordering a loaded Overland.
She thought I'd miss the leather, the larger screen/NAV and other stuff. I REALLY wanted the max tow but she had her way. I actually liked the black roof but then I would be driving it more than looking at it so the inside was more important to me.

Now I'm going NUTS waiting....... and waiting....... and waiting...... and yeah I know some of you are saying, laughing - but it's only been a week and a half! Yeah, but I'm the sort I decide to buy I go home with it the SAME day, even if I have to spend all day at the dealership while they prep one - or go back the next day to get one. The last time I had to WAIT was in 1983 when I ordered a 1984 Eagle wagon - that was early December. The car didn't come in until February 1984. Almost three months and I was going nuts.

So how long will I have to wait for an Overland, loaded, hydro blue, ordered 10/17? Dealer called me the following Monday and said the order had been accepted, the build date set but he had no idea what that date was or would be, just that the order was ok, and accepted, etc.
I want it tomorrow!
Sport fenders do not have the option to upgrade to painted fenders. If that had changed, it would be all over this site.

If it’s true, it’s breaking news and a game changer for sure.

I guess time will tell. Moot point for us now that I had to go Overland instead of Sport S to get her the body colored top ;-)

Salesman told me at least 6 to 8 weeks when I ordered on 9/23....picked mine up 10/13....

If you have your VON # or VIN # you can go to Jeep.Com and look for chat feature.
Give them your # and they can give you the status of your build

congratulations of an awesome truck order

Thanks. It's definitely going to be nice. It's got plenty of options.

Well, how about that, we ordered Hydro Blue Gladiators on the same day :) . Mine's coming into Motor Inn of Spirit Lake (ordered from @spenchey) - maybe ours will end up on the same truck. Luckily my local dealer got a blue Sport S in this weekend so I was finally able to see one in the flesh. They don't even have all the protective plastic off of it yet.

So the guy at the dealership was correct?
They had a hydro blue Gladiator there to look at - funny thing, as we were looking and confirmed that was the color wanted, another sales person got in it and drove it over to the area where they are lined up to prep - apparently that one sold while we were there.

10/17 seems like WEEKS ago! Can't wait.

On order -
Overland, hydro blue, automatic
Tow package, anti-spin rear axle, body color hard top (my wife's decision), LED lighting group, spray-in bedliner, cold weather group, 8.4" and premium audio group, safety group, advanced safety group, hardtop headliner, slush mats, roll-up tonneau cover, leather trimmed seats (black).......

Hey peeps,
wondering what was your experiences with how long it took after passing initial inspection, that the bed liner was installed and final inspection took place. They messed around holding my girl in initial inspection for the full 30 days, Now I have to wait for the bed liner, then final inspection. they have 15 days left before the 8 weeks is up.

I sent the sales guy at the dealership an email, mentioning what the well-connected smart folks over here said - and this was his response this AM -

Bill,

The von# is xxxxxxx, as of this morning the unit moved to D1 status (plant has sequenced unit for
production with estimated ship date assigned, approx 11/04?) I'll let you know when status changes on my end.
Let me know how the forum info works out

Scott

I know this is all tentative - or I assume it isn't set in stone? (you guys and gals know better than me how this works) - and ship dates mean that if they have a full load that's when it would leave the plant - correct?
But really? That soon? It was just ordered on 10/17
Am I experiencing a Rod Serling moment and this really isn't October and next week isn't really November?

Apparently, mine arrived this morning! Ordered 9/18. Pictures coming soon, and hopefully can catch a ride to dealer before they close.
I had just checked the chat and it still said “KZ - awaiting shipment” not ten minutes before dealership called me saying it was in.

My understanding is that once KZ status is attained, that Jeep chat can no longer provide you with any updated until it is @ the dealership.

depends on who you ask. One of the chat people told me they’d be able to see if it at least left the factory.
