Hello all,

First post. I recently bought a 2021 Gladiator Overland. This morning it would not start and when it finally stopped i heard something pouring on the ground. It was of course gas. It sprayed the driveshaft and the muffler. I proceeded to lower the tank and found that a previous owner had used a very short piece of 3/8 fuel line to do a repair. The high pressure line that feeds the engine from the pump had the end broken off. the fuel pump side is fine. I went to the local crown parts dept and they were not sure which line it is due to the engineering drawings not matching how it really follows the gas tank. I did not take a pic of mine, but I do have a picture i found online. I have circled the line I need to replace. Do you guys know what the part number is?

Thanks!

1 - Fuel Supply and Return Lines
2 - Fuel Tank Purge Line

Looks like the purge line, marked #2. The other 2 lines marked "#1" are fuel Supply and Return

From 2023 Gladiator Alldata service manual.

Gas spraying all up there and all over the electrical connector too??!! I think I would not engineer the location of electrical current right next to the possibility of gas spraying on it. I don’t think the two of them together would get along.

And yet in-tank pumps have been around for decades, with the WIRES actually inside the gas tank itself........ as well as power lines next to fuel rails and more.

If referring to the image Steve posted -

That's old news, common. In fact that resembles the Grand Cherokee (ZJ) system of the 90s.

And here's mine - a Jeep fuel pump using my modified sending unit that carries the pump current through connectors I salvaged from an old Jeep tank and used on my sending unit.
Electric pump and wires inside the gas tank, connectors right next to fittings that I suppose could fail, maybe.

Brown wire is original to sending unit in the tank, the others I added to power the in-tank pump I put in.
And - I use the same type of fuel line fittings used for years on Jeeps, etc.

Well that's what I get for not taking a pic as I dropped the tank the first time. It indeed is #2. 68332306AB. The one on the left not the one I marked.

I will share something I have noticed. When I first got the jeep I noticed that it had a hesitation at low throttle takeoff, especially up a hill. You could feel the changes in power. I thought at first that the injectors needed cleaning and ran a bottle of SeaFoam through it. Since I repatched the line "waiting on new part" I noticed that all the hesitation is gone now. it runs like a champ. The previous repair must have crushed the old plastic hardline and restricted flow.

There is a Fuel Supply Jumper bundle listed but with no images. Its part # 52029784AC

Based on the connector's orientation though I believe it's fuel vapor tube part # 68369897AB , Shown as #5 below.

It’s definitely the feed line. Goes from the pump forward towards the front of the jeep. You can see in the attached pics where I recut the hard line to get the elbow out of it. That way I could sleeve it up further. The nipple on the fuel pump that I attached to is also part of the original line. It makes a 90 and clips downward on the pump. Look as if it is missing the safety clip as well. 🤦‍♂️

Jeebus. How does one even damage that line in that location?

Got it, I would have to go back to the "Fuel Supply Bundle" part # then 52029784AC which I have no images for. I was able to find this diagram in the 2025 JT listing but its missing for all other years

Do you recall if it had zip tie clips attached to it?
