Honestly tires are the single biggest thing in my opinion. Mine's a Willys so it came with mud terrains, but they were only 32's. Threw on a set of KO2 315/70/17 (~35's) on the stock wheels, and it just changed the whole truck's look in one mod. And honestly, the bigger tires look better in person than in pictures for some reason, at least on the Gladiators.

This pic is with 1.5" wheel spacers I was using with the 32's, and I personally like some poke, so I kept them on, but could go without them to and would still look awesome.

Check the member sales market here; I picked these up barely used for a great price from someone that bought them and then decided to jump to 37's for their build.

I've also got a 2.5" lift sitting in the garage waiting to go on I'll install before doing any off-roading (was just waiting for tires), but just the tires changed the truck on the stock wheels. No rub at all on the street, even with the lower sport front fenders.

Good luck and have fun with your build!

It's getting covered with a stinger bar soon just couldn't stand the factory look
No one will wave at you with that grill. No bar will ever hide it. :)

To add a constructive suggestion, I’ve always thought a roof rack/crossbars, tonneau cover, bed rack, or topper adds a utility look, along with function. I’m all about function that also happens to look good. I don’t think I’ve done anything cosmetically, but all the utility stuff looks good in my opinion.

Those are called handle nuts. They stop the nut from spinning. I learned about these when putting a hitch on my TJ.

I'll warn you.. asking people about handle nuts can lead to some awkward conversations!
I've only ever heard them called flag nuts. That could help you out.
