Next up they’ll be putting stock shocks instead of the Fox ones on the Mojave and they’ll prove they really changed specs without notice! Wouldn’t put it past these cheap bastards, honestly I feel like when they became Stellantis QA went to sh!t and caring came to an end.

I felt like breaking this out from another thread, credit to @Gladurhere for noticing:

https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/2025-mojave-x.92451/post-1491703

Start there and read. ALL 2020 - 2024 Mojaves and many 2025s have the correct steering wheel. It's fatter at sides, contoured, perforated, and stitched. If you don't care you don't care, move on. If you care, and Jeep put a base Sport wheel on your expensive as F*** Mojave, make them put the correct wheel on. "SpeCiifCAtiONS SubJeCt To ChNAge WithOUT NOtiCe!!!" I know - but if you made noise you'd get the correct wheel that most would prefer on their Mojave.

What reason other than "we ran out and gotta build trucks!!!" could there be? They removed a unique feature of the Mojave. What's next? Put rubber bump stops on if they run out of hydraulic jounce?
They aren't building many Gladiators at all.

My order went in on the 13th and it was done by the 28th, completely finished.
That's basically 2 weeks start to finish compared to the usual 4 to 6 in the past.

The one you found on the lot with the "Mojave wheel" - did you look at the window sticker for the destination charge? That will tell you if it's a current/recent build or one that's been there a while.

The destination charge changed a couple of months back.
If it's 1895 then it's been there a while.
If it's 1995, then it's been built in the last couple of months.
That may help you sort out which have it and which do not.

How about asking Benny for the current part number................

I like my Mojave steering wheel. If mine had come with the Sport steering wheel, I would have replaced it with a Chinese carbon fiber one with paddle shifters.
Is it a SPORT steering wheel - or a Rubicon steering wheel?
Our 2023 JLU Rubicon has a steering wheel like is being shown as the "non-Mojave" wheel and being called a "sport" wheel........... and yet, it matches the other Rubicons from 2023.

I had a Jeep with the paddle shifters - I was damned tempted to get out the Dremel with a cut-off wheel. I hated those stupid things. I prefer using the shifter to shift, not a steering wheel.

The FOX Rubicon shocks were garbage.

So I’ve heard…my rear shocks on my Mojave are squeaking at 20k miles but I think it’s from the cold as they get better after 10 minutes or so of driving. I’m dreading having to replace them and hope they get to the 50k mark.

I had rubicon shocks on my 2020 Overland and they were bouncy as heck. If I were still in the business of doing suspension/alignment/steering, I'd tell the customer their shocks were bad.
I took them off when I traded it, and put them upstairs in a box - and did not put them on my 22. I'll likely toss them unless someone wants all of those Rubicon shocks and springs - free.

I think we proved out later in the linked thread that they are now building them on purpose with those different steering wheels and no long listing the Mojave unique part number.

I wonder if killing the 392 Wrangler made them not want to source the wheel any longer just for the Gladiator Mojave

There's a thought............ You really don't see Mojaves on the lots around here. Rubicon and the others - which are much better sellers.
I dunno, it's at least a theory that holds some water.

They killed the 392 Wrangler and brought it back for 2025. The few pics I can find of 2025 Wrangler 392's show unique finger rest bump steering wheel on those.

There is no rhyme or reason to any of this that I know of other than what they are putting non standard in the Mojave now is on purpose and planned.
